You can't get banned for playing the game early. it is yours and you obtained it through legal means(hopefully). You can however get banned for releasing copyrighted material when the owner of said material does not wish it to be released. This is the case with the people you are referring to. As for the the rest of your post, why even have release dates then? Why not just let every game out there start releasing in alpha like the Early Access program on Steam? I mean hell, thats what it all boils down to right? You are simply mad that you do not have something someone else does. It is jealousy plain and simple. I for one will bide my time until Tuesday when my game comes via UPS. There are after all OTHER video games than Grand Theft Auto.

I bet they've given out more 8.0 or 8.5 scores than any other score. I'm gonna go with 8.5, simply because that seems to be their thing.

I have preordered many games from Amazon and everytime they promised release day shipping, it has come on the day the game was released. Granted I have an Amazon Prime membership(worth its weight in gold if you order things online alot) so I get free 2 day shipping on everything. Maybe that factors in with the release day shipping I have no idea.

I have to agree with the above poster. I highly doubt anyone would have too much ammo and supplies playing on Survivor difficulty. It isn't Naughty Dog's fault you ruined your initial playthrough by not testing your limits. Many gamers, myself included, will start the game on the highest difficulty available, and if it gets too hard, lower it down to something more comfortable. Personally I found Hard to be just right. I tried Survivor and just wasn't enjoying the experience.

This is exactly the kind of zombie game I've been waiting for. At least that's what I thought.

When DayZ came out I was thinking, "This is it! Finally a game that combines my love of scavenging/resource gathering, rpg elements, and zombies!" Then I logged in, got killed by another "friendly" player, and quickly realized maybe this wasn't the game for me. I gave it a good run though. I ended up playing for about 2 weeks, although never really getting anywhere. Finally I got sick of it and gave up.

Then War Z came out and....yeah I'm not reopening that can of worms. Let's just say pay to win is NOT my style.

Then, about a month ago(don't ask me how the game slipped through my radar for so long) I hear of State of Decay. My first thought was, "SINGLE PLAYER!!!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!" This game should be everything I've ever wished for in this type of game. That's the problem though, it is. I never realized how freaking insanely difficult it would be surviving a zombie apocalypse.

At first I had no problems whatsoever, then I made it to the church. Almost immediately about 10 gazillion things start to go wrong in a huge snowball effect. I lose Marcus in a horde attack. Maya blows her brains out. I lose Sam to a feral. Ed simply disappears. I still have no idea what happened to him. I got the doc from the Wilkerson's place and he patched Ed up, who then became playable. I was in the middle of a mission with Dana at the time, going to find food as we were running dangerously low. I come back and go to switch to Ed and poof, no Ed. No mention of his death, he simply disappears from the list of characters.

So now I am left with one playable character. I am almost completely out of supplies. I have tons of weapons and painkillers and things like that in the locker, I;m referring to base supplies like building materials, medicine, food etc. Do I just suck that bad at the game or what? I've considered starting over, but I am like 10 hours in already. Any suggestions, tips, criticism?

Honestly it doesn't seem like this kind of game is fit for you. It sounds like you would be better suited with one of the twitchy, 4 hour long, lack of any real story military shooters. Take your pick as there are tons. This game is for those with the brainpower to comprehend an amazing setting, amazing story, and amazing characters. In other words, people over the age of 10. As you seem to be unable to grasp these things, please go back to Call of Battlefield Honor Warfare where you belong.

Why would the series backstep into a checkpoint system? Other than that, I love the game. I am just curious as to what the design decision was here. Also, the game seems to discourage backtracking. I just got past this part where Elizabeth has to slip through some bars in a gate and the game introduces the tear system. Now, after killing all the enemies, I am unable to get the hook back again(the one that you use to get over the gate) so I cannot backtrack anymore. I really hope I did not miss anything. Having OCD really sucks sometimes because it is going to probably bother me to the point of starting the game all over again.

I'm running a single 6950 2gb, 8gb ram, and an AMD-4170 quad core 4.2 ghz. Pretty much a budget rig. I can max the game at 1920x1080 but it gets stutery sometimes with alot going on. The odd thing is, I ran FRAPS to check the framerate and it is showing that it is staying around 40ish even when the stuttering is happening. Maybe it is less a framerate issue and more something to do with the game itself? The thing is is, if I lower Ambient occlusion and Geometry Detail to medium(what they were set to by default) the problem becomes much less apparent, yet the rise in framerate is only maybe 5-10 fps and often even less than that. I tried turning off High Resolution Textures and it literally made NO difference whatsoever in either framerate or the stuttery issue. Who knows. The game is still plenty playable though. I went in expecting a Burnout clone and thats what I got so I am happy with the game unlike some.
