Aso, GW2 has no traditional endgame to my knowledge, though I have yet to get a character past the teens as they are all so darn fun.

just want to add that the fast travel system works much like TES games of late, in which you need to first come across the waypoint and it will automatically be added to your map. They are not hard to find though as(mostly) everything is on the map by default, you just need to go there and do it.

You need to understand that by removing the subscription fee, they no longer need the "carrot on a stick" approach to things like other mmo's do. A prime example: The fast travel system. Instead of paying for taxi's or gryphons, you simply open your map, click the waypoint(which are EVERYWHERE) you want to travel to, pay a tiny fee of ingame cash, and boom you are where you need to be. They can do this because unlike games like World of Warcraft, they don't need you coming back month after month paying a subscription fee, so alot of the useless stuff that was there just as "time filler" are removed from this game. What is left is by far the most streamlined mmorpg experience I have ever seen. Are there those that do not like this? Sure. For many, the old "carrot on a stick" approach is so ingrained into their gaming dna, that any other way is simply an abomination and will not be had. For me, I like both ways, and while I am currently playing GW2, I have no intention of cancelling my MoP preorder.

My kingdom for one person with logic! If the game was going to be out this year, we would know. Flat out we would know. None of the store sites have any release date like that. Releasing a normal game takes a huge amout of time and money, getting all the marketing together, making sure the hype is just at the right level etc. multiply that by a factor of 1000 when your dealing with a GTA game.

October is not even a month and a half away. Makes me wonder how long this will have to go on before people FINALLY give up on this year and this game being one in the same.

I don't really like discussions like this where everyone is simply assuming to know the right answer. You know what they say about people who assume. I do however want to address the quoted post. What about the new WoW expansion? We didn't know the release date for that until maybe a month ago if that, and that is coming in September. And don't even BEGIN to tell me that game didn't cost as much or more to make than GTAV. Blizzard spends a MINT on their games, and they don't release until they are perfect. Not to mention they have more money than Rockstar. Yet they managed to pull the wool over peoples eyes all the time when it comes to release dates.

My point here is, YOU DON"T KNOW ANYMORE THAN ANYONE ELSE. You can sit here and speculate all you want, but you don't know jack, and neither do I. The only people who have even the tiniest inkling of the games release date are the developers and maybe some close friends. Unless you are in that category(and noones going to believe you even if you claim to be), then give it up.

I have to laugh at those who keep saying "NOCD will be out in a few days no worries". Buddy you have no CLUE about the way D3 handles things, OR programming. This isn't like cracking a normal game. This would be like trying to run WoW on your machine with no server to connect to. Everything important is stored server side. From items, drop tables, you name it. All your pc is doing is rendering what the server tells it to. It is no different than WoW in that respect. As a couple people have said, to run the game "offline" you would pretty much need to create your own server on your pc and then connect to that. And have fun creating the code to do this, since you sure as heck aren't getting Blizzards anytime soon. So can we please stop with the NODC comments when you know jack sprat about it? You can't crack something that doesn't exist, and most of D3 doesn't exist on client side. Also, as dzimm said, Starcraft 2 is different in that almost everything in that game is handled client side. D3 is not. Pretty much when you install D3 on your system you are only installing the graphics, music/sound, UI, that kinda stuff. The important stuff is all handled by the server when you connect.

Well judging from the attitudes of those that said they aren't purchasing the game, good riddance. With attitudes like those, I would much rather you stayed away and didn't taint the community. I for one cannot wait for D3. Also want to add that if you played D1 and D2 as solo only, you missed out bro. Sorry but ya did. Anyway, to those that will be rockin out on the 15th, cya there!

Why didn't I get my emblem for voting for the Readers Choice? This is the second time this has happened. It happened i think last year it was too. This is not fair. I don;t even know why I bother with voting when I get credit for it like randomly.

Is there a max level on Gamespot? If so what is it and how can you check your level versus other peoples??
