I dont mind the idea of people using the real names. You cant just be a d*ck to everyone when everyone knows who you are.

S0lidSnake

Eh, that doesn't really stop people on Facebook and Twitter though.

Even though my user name is part of my actual name, I'm not really comfortable using my complete full name online for everybody to see. It is nice to hear that the system will be much easier for devs to work on, though.

btw random question, i invade as a darkmoon in the forest but i barely get invasions. they are really not common at all. why is this? isn't the forest filled with ppl? if i invade as a darkmoon in the burg i may get 1 or 2, but it's usually always the same ppl which gets annoying quick. im lvl 120 btw. i would host but i lost all my humanity (i had like 40 or something on me) by doing something really stupid, i died in the burg arena and when i was going to go get my souls back i accidentally fell off stairs near the bonfire..

i would try and farm humanity at the rats (even though that's really annoying) but i don't know how to get to the depths without clearing taurus demon from the burg. and the burg is where i usually pvp so i don't wanna lose that spot. im trying to shift to the forest but i don't get any invasions there.

I couldn't really say, since I'm not one to actively search for PvP battles in the first place, but I would imagine the dominating choice of invasions in the forest would simply be from the Cat Covenant. There would probably be better locations for the Darkmoon, like Anor Londo, but I wouldn't really know for sure.

Lag stabbing is the worst. It's pretty much the only way things were played in Dark Souls. I'm totally not against removing the back stabs, but I think better ways to defend against it would help. Two-handing a weapon places your shield on your back, and that could also prevent back stabs, or something like that. Either way, I'll probably still avoid the PvP. I'm terrible at it.

This really brings back some bad memories. I don't know why I even bothered to continue the game, just some obligation to finish a game I bought I suppose. This mission took me several hours to complete. Every time I got a little further, I messed up something and failed the mission. Finished all the enemies in the warehouse? I forgot the shotgun guy in the corner and died. Tried it again and went a little slower, but was too slow to catch the helicopter. Moved a bit faster and got to the helicopter and made it to the boat section and ate a rocket to the face... It's actually kind of funny how I messed up at every possible moment. I was never very good at GTA games, and this one continuing the traditional lack of checkpoints and awkward controls amplified my awful playing to new levels. Although I didn't really enjoy GTA4 for the most part, I thought their expansions, specifically Gay Tony were significantly better game experiences. Checkpoints did help.

I feel like things are more likely to get worse than anything else, though I hope I'm wrong on that. There was a period where they tried to bring in new IPs back then, so it wasn't all bad. Wonder who will replace him.

That's pretty unexpected, and quite awesome. Still haven't played RE6 yet, but may get around to it eventually. They should put the cast from the first L4D. I'm more fond of those guys. Still not sure if they're entirely new enemies or simply re-skins, but it would get me to play again regardless.

Sure, why not? I enjoyed the second game. The twisted Wonderland settings were interesting to see, even if the levels went on far, far too long. I wouldn't mind seeing more of what they have to offer.
Yes. MGR Raiden is the single most baddass character ever put in a video game.

Wish i was home so i could quickly gif the scene where he goes crazy.

dvader654

No he is not. Snake would still kick his ass. He was badass but he doesn't exude badassness.

There's even a codec conversation with Kevin where Raiden basically gushes over Snake, too. Raiden is such a fanboy :P
And a goofy badass. My favorite kind.
I started playing this a few weeks ago until Rising preoccupied my time. Gotta say, I'm not really feeling it with the loot system right now, nor do the dungeons really have the unique feel the original provided. I with Vader on this. I do really the like the improved combat though. Death is nimble and pretty fun to control. I'm hoping the gameplay rides with me to the end, since I already know the game's story doesn't really go anywhere.

I'd probably have a better opinion of the game, but I'm actually stuck in a dungeon cause some giant dumbass npc that is supposed to help me clear the area got stuck in some geometry and the game saved so now I can't continue.

Started my second playthrough and man Sam's sword is powerful! I dont think I've even fully upgraded it yet and I can chew through metal gears and those sewer UGs in just a few hacks. Getting S ranks left and right on normal. I might even tackle Hard mode if it's this easy. :P

S0lidSnake

Glad you stuck with it and enjoyed the game. Hard isn't that bad after finishing on normal, in fact it's pretty easy now that you know what to expect. Very hard has a nice challenge to it. New enemy placement and increased aggressiveness give it some added flavor. It does exemplify the terrible camera, which is the worst part of the game, imo.
