Nice try? All I'm asking for is a solid argument that the GameCube is not dead.
The fact that the GC is still produced, games are in development for the system, and the system still sells means it's not officially dead. And I bet there's a lot more than those 20 or so people who agree with me. The majority of them probably just aren't registered on GameSpot.
Yeah, just like the PlayStation. It stopped selling in 2006, so that's when it officially died right?
Only five games came out for the PlayStation in 2005 and none in 2006. It was practically dead at that time, just like the GameCube now.

I bought a GameCube last week, bought games for it too. Fair enough it's all second hand but if it was 'dead' no one would still be buying it, second hand or not, yeah? Since the system is still on sale, people are still buying it, taking it home, playing it, thus it still being alive and not dead, right?
