its ridiculously noob friendly. No skill points, everyone has same skills at same level. Its very hard to die until later in the game.. controls are pretty basic
Thats true for people who have upgraded but most people interested in this who keep upto date with the scene havent upgraded and Im asuming someone who is going to try this custom firmware will fall into this catagory. I may be wrong but its not really a big deal any way.
Your massively out of date on that one. Yes Sony blocked the sale and manufacture of dongles pre programmed with the software on but the manufacturers just removed the software and provided an online service to flash it post sale. They are readily available and I'm assuming most people who attempt to flash a first gen custom firmware thats marked as unsafe will have the means to rectify the problem.
I don't know wy you posted that message. Geohot is good at finding a way into the systems and gaining access but they now have that through failoverflow and geohot releasing the master key anyone can do this. There are a lot of programmers out there that will alter any fw / payload to acommodate backup's. The same thing happened with the USB dongle payloads, they were altered within the day to do just this.
If you read into it you'll find out that people can downgrade, you need one of the USB dongles to do it but its a very simple process now. From what I read on the psx scene forums its an easy fix as well..
Call of duty is on it's way out already. Everyone I know is unimpressed with this years version and hate the online aspects.. which was the main reason most bought it. In my opinion the Cod will be on decline from now on, unless they can pull something great out of the bag..
They can just boot into recovery and upgrade / downgrade, it isn't bricked it just wont boot to normal thedash. Not a big deal and it was only released so fast so Kakaroto got his name as the first person to do it.
