I think that the biggest thing that hurt it was it's release date.

While most devs get their games out for late winter/spring MLB Power Pros came out in October when everything was pretty much wrapped up as far as baseball goes. Now that spring is here again it's considered an "old" game.

I still think it's the best game on the Wii. No other game showcases so many great things in one package.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. The release date for sports games is very important, and they didn't release it at the right time. I've only rented the game, I thought it was ok. It's definitely the best sports game on the wii.

I am going to ask a serious question. What is so good about it?kakkarott23

That's what I have been wondering. I don't know if I would say it was the best 3rd party game and its certainly not the 'best' game on the wii (in my opinion, of course).

Lighting two candles doesn't take "time".

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]Don't get a Wiichris3116

You should listnen to him. 1 game is not enough for a console. That's why I won't buy a 360. I'm not interested on any games on it and the games that I was interested well I rented the console.

I think he said he was "not going to buy it for one game", he didn't say he was only going to buy one game.

They make one aspect of their console really, really good and then keep everything else archaic.forgot_it

Exactly. That perfectly describes Nintendo.

Wow, I'm not sure I want to come into this slug-fest, but I will anyway. To the guy posting that you can do everything in Wii fit in real life... OK, can I come throw soccor balls at your head? After about 100 you might be unconscious and I won't have to listen to you anymore. If you'll let me though I'll believe you that the real life equivalent is a lot more fun. You must also realize to have the same experience you will need to start tracking all your times, scores, weights, etc on charts at the same time. Otherwise you are just doing the exercises and you will never know if you are improving your balance or weight or be able to see trends over the course of weeks and months. To the guy that pointed out that you can switch quickly between doing all of these activities on the Wii. Good show. And I believe it was the same guy that pointed out he plays sports games because I can't find 10-17 people to play the sports games with and then later pointed out that he could find people to run with so why would he do it on the Wii and run with Mii's... I salute your hypocricy man. The point of Wii fit to me is it will be something different. I have driven cars around all sorts of fake tracks in hundreds of racing games. I have thumb stick landed a million 1080's, skated down all sorts of rails and parks. I have played a lot of baseball games, finally one that I swung my arms to actually swing like in real life, and numerous other sports that I played over the years. But I have never played series of games in my own home that focuses on my balance as a major input to the game. The balance board gives a new level of 'connectivity' to gaming. All sorts of gaming.

It is unfortunate that we didn't get the balance board bundled with the Wii, because then we would expect devs to take it into account all the time rather than be a 'temporary' peripheral on the system. But with the numbers Wii fit are selling in japan, this game at least has a chance to sell enough for it to actually have better detailed games made for it later.

I welcome Wii fit, and for no other reason than to show my support to another great input device will buy it. It also helps that members of my family really like fitness and yoga, so this actually might be a game designed for their likes instead of mine for a change. raahsnavj

For me, the argument is not over the Balance Board being good or bad, it's over the game that comes packaged with it. Like I said before, it (The game: Wii Fit) looks like another Wii Sports or Wii Play, and I don't want another minigame filled Wii Sports/Play type game.

I think your being a bit harsh with the first paragraph, after all, this thread is for Wii Fit "opinions", good or bad.
