Uncharted Trophy System

Well I made the update for Uncharted so that I can start earning trophies for it. I started the game all over again on hard to get all possible trophies and achievements. So, I can't believe how easy it is. In under an hour, I had earned myself 9 shiny trophies. The tricky part is getting all the 60 treasures. They put them in places you would normally never go and they're hell confusing! Also, if u read my blog, can u plz tell me what other retail games support this trophy system?

Thanx.

My Birthday!

Well my B-Day was yesterday, August 3rd. I just turned 14, and on top of that, James Hetfield just turned 45 on the SAME DAY! Funny enough, Metallica is my favorite band ;)

Better late than ever...

Well, we might have expected this earlier and we might have hoped a bit of accomodation and help from Eidos. But as they say, better late than ever. Today, I just logged onto www.tombraider.com, and had an unexpected surprise. The latest news was merely two days old and not even posted by GameSpot. So, here is the climax: The first official trailer for Tomb Raider: Underworld has just been posted. It's a tad bit confusing, but all to shake our guts with intrigue...Man I want to buy this game bad!

Enjoy and have a nice summer everyone!

Confusion-Mania

Man I have been feeling a bit confused and had awkward hopes for the future lately.

To start off, there are some really cool games on my mind to buy for the summer and till the end of the year. To start off, I only had Tomb Raider 8 and Gran Turismo 5 on my mind. Then the reviews of MGS4 tempted me that I made it a #1 priority. Then I got even more tempted by Resistance 2 having it as a number 2 priority. Being history's best football fan ever, I couldn't resist putting FIFA 09 on my list as soon as it was announced. And then I read all about the release of BioShock on the PS3. And let's no forget, there isn't a single Prince of Persia game I haven't played. I would be a disgrace to the PoP fans if I don't buy the next one There we go, 7 games. The point is, till here it's OK. As much as I love games, they sent me confused with their awesomeness I just wish that no more good games will be announced in E3 or that one of those mentioned will not tempt me later on. I feel wierd.

Hasta luego Deutschland...

Pretty much, the entire competition is over...with some awfully surprising results. First off, as I mentioned earlier, Germany was to play Turkey. The second one was TBD, considering the third and fourth quarter-finals weren't yet played. So the third one was a night between the Dutch and the Russians. The fourth was a hotly-anticipated showdown between the Spanish and the Italians.

To start off, both the teams of the third quarter-final were heavily struggling with each other, till the Russians successfully broke the spell with a stunning goal in the 70th minute. The invincible Dutch had no idea what hit them. Dutch goalkeeper Van der Sar was left pondering over his crucial mistake. Minutes before the end, Holland's Sneijer played a tremendously fast free-kick that was surprsingly finished by Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. His powerful head dive sent both teams into an extra thirty minutes after drawing 1-1, unlike the usual indestructible performance of the Netherlands. Then in the extra-time, second top scorer of the tournament, Pavlyuchenko sent the ball with a screw from a tough angle and was easily chipped over Van der Sar. After doing it before, the Dutch still heavily struggled to get any hopes of an equaliser. Then Andriav played a nice touch solo and pushed the ball between Van der Sar's leg to break the Russians apart from the Dutch with a stunning 3-1 lead. The game ended as thus and the Russians were through into the semi-final.

With the fourth quarter-final, Spain and Italy had a rather life-less game as they reached penalties without a single goal frome either side. Spain won 4-2 on penalties from an amazing performance by Spanish captain and goalkeeper Iker Casillas. The Spanish were to faced the much-feared Russians in a dramatic semi-final.

The first semi was that of Turkey vs. Germany. The Turks had an amazing performance in the start as Turkish substitue scored a cute goal on Jen's Lehmann's goal sending Turkey to an unexpected lead in the first thirty minutes. Germany's number 7, Bastian Schweinsteiger, answered them with a goal just minutes away.

From that moment, till half-way into the second half nothing happened. Then German international and number 11, Miroslav Klose, headed Germany into a crucial lead in the 79th minute. The Turks answered with minutes to spare bringing the game all level again. Then out of the blue, Germany defender Philip Lahm struck his team to victory with a lightly pushed goal and sent Germany into the finals.

The other day, the Spanish had to play the Russians. After 60 minutes of almost no action, the Spanish scored three consecutive goals sending themselves through to the final to play the Germans.

Upon meeting, both teams fought and fought with no results till the 33rd minutes. Senna crossed the ball to Fernando Torres who in turn made a cute chip over Jens Lehmann to send the Spanish to the only lead of the game and the only goal. The Spanish raised the trophy for the second time in history and the first time since 1964. VIVA ESPANA!

Euro 2008-Austria Switzerland (cont'd)

As I mentioned earlier, Italy, France, Romania, Holland, Sweden, Spain, Greece, and Russia were all yet to finalize their quarter final positions. And pretty much, the round robin group stage is over and here we are with eight teams battling it out in knockout.

The first two Q. Finals as I said before are Germany vs. Portugal and Croatia vs. Turkey. From Group C, Holland had already qualified and yet didn't give up. They beat the Romanians 2-0 demolishing their narrow hopes of qualifying. Then the Italian Azzuri had an almost lucky grasp of second place after beating the French 2-0 from a penalty and a free-kick. The French and Romanians were left behind and the Italians and Dutch qualified. That night, it was finalized that the fourth Q. Final was going to be Italy vs. Spain. A truly big game, must-be-seen.

The third one was still TBD. Holland was in it but either Sweden or Russia would have taken the other place. If they had drawn, it would have been carried on into extra-time (30 extra minutes). If that still didn't work out, it would have been on penalty shoot-outs. Yet. Sweden beat Russia 2-0 and are destined to meat Holland in the third Q. Final. As for Spain who guaranteed first place, they beat Greece 2-1 with their substitues. This game made no difference as Greece had no hopes of reaching second place.

Now it is firm and established. All upcoming games are to be played 20:45 CET (Central European Time)

#1 Portugal vs. Germany (Thursday June 19, 08)

#2 Croatia vs. Turkey (Friday June 20, 08)

#3 Holland vs. Sweden (Saturday June 21, 08)

#4 Spain vs. Italy (Sunday June 22, 08)

Semi-finals are to be played as follows:

-- Winner of #1 vs. Winner of #2 (Wednesday 25 June, 08)

-- Winner of #3 vs. Winner of #4 (Thursday 26 June, 08)

Third place match

-- Loser of 1st S. Final vs. Loser of 2nd S. Final

Final:

-- Winner of 1st S.Final vs. Winner of 2nd. S.Final (Sunday 29 June, 08)

Enjoy your summer as well two weeks of fantastic football.

Euro 2008-Austria Switzerland

Below this blog is another about the same topic....Except that now I am giving a review on Groups A and B.

Group A's qualifiers were Portugal and Turkey. Portugal had qualified since the last game so the latest one didn't matter. They just gave it up to Switzerland by losing 2-0. Then Turkey qualified by the last second and avoided extra time after beating the Czechs 3-2.

Group B's qualifiers wre Croatia and Germany. Croatia made it tough in the last game by beating Germany with a ruthless 2-1. Then they qualified straight away. Yesterday, one of three teams was going to join them: Germany, Poland, or Austria. Yet Germany's narrow 1-0 victory against Austria led to their immediate qualification.

Now the first quater final will be a showdown between the Portuguese and the Germans. Revenge is going to be needed. Portugal lost to Germany in the third place match of the FIFA World Cup 3-1. As for the Germans, they are going to want to keep their dignity. (To be played: Thursday 19-June-08 21:45 CET)

The second one will be a controversial Turkey vs. Czech Republic. Tough game there. Pretty much, no further comments. (To be played: Friday 20-June-08 21:45 CET)

As for today, Group C will finalize their qualifiers. The Dutch are through after mercilessly beating World Cup Winners Italy 3-0 and the World Cup runner-ups France 4-1. They are going to play Romania. They might give up the game to the Romanians who earlier drew with the Italian Azzuri 1-1. If Romania wins, they're through. The other game will be a night between France and Italy, a never-to-be-missed rivalry. They have a tough game at hand. They have no chance of qualifying if they both draw. But, if either one wants qualification they must be sure of victory for themselves and a loss for Romania. That sums up tonight. (Both games to be played: Tuesday 17-June-08 21:45 CET)

Tomorrow Spain, Russia, Greece, and Sweden will play. Expect coverage from me on that soon...

An explosion in European football

Don't get me wrong, I mean English football. Truly, yesterday was a change in the weather of European football.

To give those who don't watch football a start, I will first introduce the tournament. It is the European Chamionship of 2008 taking place with co-hosts Austria-Switzerland. It's gathering 16 teams: Switzerland, Porugal, Turkey, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Italy, France, Holland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Russia and Greece. The final will be played on June 29th in Vienna while currently the teams are taking care of the group stage, where four teams battle for two places in the quarter-final.

Yesterday, Group C where playing their first two games. Earlier in the day Romania drew with France goalessly. Three hours later was a bigger game, Holland (the Netherlands) vs. Italy. It was a highly anticipated game where the bets where all going for Italy. At the end of the day, Holland game Italy a blow they'll never forget. They beat the Italian Azzuri 3-0. This is Italy's worst ever score in any championship.

It is truly a shock. This is one of the reasons I am encouraging all those who use this website to start watching football.

Ole ole ole ole ole!!!!
