As everyone knows, game devs. p'ed because of gamespot and ebgames exchangin someones game and then selling it for almost the exact same price, without giving any profit to the developer. What could be a possible way to make both sides of this happy.
I was thinking that EB/GS give a portion of the profit to the developers whenever thier games are sold or possibly paying a monthly, yearly "tax" if you will that compensates dev's. for the lost sales in new games
Recently I stopped off at EB to trade in COD:WaW. I was expecting maybe 23-30 but found out that it was a 40buck trade in value, which was a plesant surpise. But it didn't stop there. The lady working (she must have been new) said that the game I was buying with the tade-in (NBA Live 09) was fully paid and that I had 5 and change left that she threw on a giftcard. Guess it was some redemption for all the times they gave me scraps for classics.:)
Hey guys, just finished playing Gears for the night and it got me thinking. I remember the good old days when you and acouple friends would go over to a buddies house for the night and just play video games all night long. Those were the best days ever, game wise for me anyways. No one cared about gamerscores, or there record of kill/death ratio. Everyone, no matter how good or bad, had a good time playing. I find now that gaming is moving towards this almost single player sort of idea where you either have to all play alone at your own houses, recover a profile, or take turns with one persons account. I find this sort of depressing because I think that gaming should always be about having fun with everyone and your friends. Just throwing that out there. Anyone agree/disagree?
