A lot of major characters from the first game show up in DEHR, and there's also a lot of references to even more characters, organizations, and technology from the first game as well. In addition, there's even some homages to the first game slipped into DEHR like the first keypad code you enter, the original game's music playing over radios in the game, and a special little added dialogue scene if you go into the women's restroom. You're not going to be lost playing DEHR but at the same time a lot of references will fly straight by you. I'd say it would be like watching the Star Wars prequels before watching the original trilogy.gameguy6700

When I heard 0451 as the code to leave Sarif's office I was like "WOOOOOOOW". And what Pritchard said after going to the women's bathroom I was like "WOOOOOOW". And one of the email's talked about Versalife, I was like "WOOOOOOW". Lol sorry, I get all giddy about Deus Ex!

I just found my Wii that I thought I lost and now I'm pretty excited to use it! I hadn't used it in about 2 years. So now, what are some Wii/GC games you'd recommend? Here's what I already have:

_Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
_Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
_Super Mario Galaxy
_LoZ: Twilight Princess
_No More Heroes 1

I'm down for some Gamecube gems I may have forgotten about.

Fallout 3 or New Vegas, Elder Scrolls Obilivion or Morrowind. Those will last you for as long as you want.

To be fair, it's an 11 year old game. BUT I still find it enjoyable and timeless. For me it was about the atmosphere and story, and that never goes out of style.

I also think it's important to note that the early stages of the game are tough because the lack of skills/power you have at your disposal. The reason it feels as if decisions to use multitools/lockpicks are too costly, and attacking is high risk since you're not that strong plays into the game's emphasis on decision-making and sparing use of important items. It also encourages exploration since many doors/keypads can be bypassed by finding keys and keycodes. I thought of it as the challenge to the game. Keep playing, if you don't find it intruiging by the time you make it to Paris, then maybe it's not for you.

[QUOTE="GummiRaccoon"]

[QUOTE="Diophage"] Wow. Why did I get modded for saying that? What bull****! Diophage

Because you obviously have no clue what gets modded.

Just about anything it seems. Uptight forums are funny.

Come on man, they're just trying to keep the forums substantive. No point in giving them a hard time. SO ABOUT UNREAL, maybe gamers outgrew the "arena" shooter. And maybe it's even worse that dev's are so caught up in making "level-up" type shooters, like CoD became. I don't have anything against the "leveling up" aspect of these games, hell I love Battlefield 2 and BC2 to death, but it's gotten over-flooded and ruined the "leveling up" experience.
