abarua's forum posts
Before I start:
YES I know that this is the PS3 forum, but I think that the PS2 forums are closed or something because they never change on the PS2 homepage here on gamespot.
Just a quick question anyways-why are the fat (original) PS2 consoles so expensive on ebay?
I have a 60 gig PS3, and I am about to move. Therefore, I am looking to unload stuff I don't use (aka my PS2) so I don't have to box and move them. Anyways, I was posting some stuff on ebay for sale and saw that fat PS2 consoles were selling for $100-220 and slim ones were selling for like $20-50.
Just wondering why...it will affect how I price mine.
BTW I have an original launch model with original box, manuals, etc.
Thanks for the help, and don't flame me-just wanted a quick answer before I post it for sale.

Its very simple, the fat PS2`s support better the copied games and can stay on like for 8 hours, but the slim one just 2 hours and the lens may broke down because of the pirate dvd inserted in, i know this for a fact as here where i live no one has a non chipped PS2 so is very common to know this stuff.
btw, the best PS2 model (for pirate games) is the 39001 version.
So this may be the reason for the high prices, people just expect you to chip the PS2
BEST: MGS4
WORST: i dunno i just dont buy bad games at all.
[QUOTE="Erik729"][QUOTE="boss130"]According to the new 2009 version of the Webster's Dictionary: the word boring is now defined as..........HOME! In my opinion HOME is the video game version of the Maginot Line. Utterly useless and laughable...abarua
Dude, the Maginot Line had wonderful purpose...but the French thought woods would scare Germans...the Maginot Line was great, just not long enough. But Home is boring, yes.
Dude, the maginot line was useless, germas attaked from belgium into france using a second army, not the one facing the maginot line.
Anyway, what this has to do with the useless HOME aplication ??!! :D:D
