Hmm... lets see.

1. Oblivion: they got that one a year after the 360.

2. Rockband: also on 360.

3. COD4: also on 360.

4. Assassins Creed: also on 360.

5. Rainbow Six: Vegas: they got that one over 6 months after the 360.

6. Ninja Gaiden: It wasnt on the 360... oh yea, it was on the original xbox, all they did was polish the graphics and add a few new bells and whisles.

When I say good games, I mean 9.0 and up.

Because Sony screwed up and made the PS3 difficult to program for even the top game developers in the world, all in the hopes of pusing the PS3 as a blu-ray player. Unnecessary complexity, unnecessary expense- no wonder devs are leaving it in droves. Not to mention the fact that the PS3 game attach rate is horrendous, probably the worst of any major console that has ever been released (after 1 year on the market).

Serious question: If you were a dev, would you go through all the time and expense of making a game on the PS3, or go with the more profitable and easy to program 360? Pretty easy answer, IMO.

You could say the same for Shooters;

• Big, masculine guys blowing stuff up
• Point and shoot, kill and destroy
• Save humanity from an alien threat, or WWII
• Often the same game, hidden under a shiny coat of glossy graphics
• Multiplayer
• Short as HELL Single Player

However, there are games in both genres that break the mold; when will the "Shooter" fad end, it's killing my Single Player gaming experience, Dammit!

At least most shooters have stellar multi-player (at least on the 360) these days. You can also play them with other people, even talk to them as you fight and plan out together. Thus, there is a competitive element involving real people that most other genres fail to possess. Also, shooters still evolve from time to time. With JRPGs, nothing really changes except the graphics of the cut scenes. JRPGs are for nerds living in a windowless closet.

I admit it- JRPGs suck. Badly. It's always the exact same stuff, every time:

- Stupid, colorful-haired, homo/metrosexual characters.

- The guys always look like girls, and they are almost always white guys.

- Totally unrealistic in basically every regard, including storyline and dialogue.

- oh no! Some little kid has to save the world/country/village, while at the same time growing up along the way!

- Always some sidekick character that looks like an animal.

- Totally fake weapons.

- Half hour cut scenes, which in reality are just a self-indulgent yawn-fest. Some JRPGs don't even let you skip the cut scenes.

- Always some ridiculously pointless love connection somewhere in the storyline.

- Totally boring turn-based fighting systems, which require absolutely zero skill. My dog could beat a Final Fantasy boss by randomly stepping on the controller.

What is it about these snoozers that you guys love so much? They suck. When will the gaming world FINALLY be done with JRPGs?

enough with the personal attacks! I could report probably 20+ cows for PERSONAL INSULTS said to me on system wars. Also, Cows report me all the time for my threads. One guy even reported me for a private message that I sent responding to him mocking me, and I said nothing offensive, and I got a 2 day ban. Luckily, I am cooler than that. TC, you do know that the 360 is playing catch-up to the ps3 in hardware while the ps3 is playing catch-up in software right??!?! Hince the elite with the HDMI , and now the pros and cores all come with this HDMI output that the ps3's had from day 1. Also, isn't there a rumor stating that toshiba and m$ is releasing a hd-dvd equipped 360 in 09???!!! now who else had a console to release with an HD format packed in with the system??!!!!?!!
