It makes your PS3 able to detect your PC or laptop wirelessly as a media center so you can listen to all your music, view photos, or watch video stored on your computer/network. It also has more support for PS2 games, such as "smoothing out graphics" and more support to play PS2 games online.bigpymp

that was the previous update. this update isnt a major version just a minor revision. better support for HDMI RGB and a hint of backward compatiblity extra. Nothing to get excited about yet.

UK store is poor compared to what I have heard is in the US store.

They have a game specifically tailored for you guys/girls, SINGSTAR.

Have you seen the European website compared to the us website on the Ps3, i think it speaks for itself

we have a few demos, virtua tennis, resistance, motorstorm... thats about it? apart from the trial versions of the small games.. we have no calling all cars either.

in my opinion the XMB access will come with v2.0. its a huge thing and every new HUGE update starts with a new number.

Ex.v1.0 v2.0 v3.0

those all will be huge updates just as the PSP updates were. thats just my opinion so dont bash it. :)

 yep, the first number indicated a major version (eg design and feature side), second number indicates a minor version (new features), a third number indicates a very minor change, sony dont release updates until they get to a minor version to release.

I believe 2.0 will be very interesting. :)
