Ok so I've got this fancy dress thing coming up and it's a superhero theme only I don't really have any ideas on costumes to dress up as, I'd rather not spend loads on one since I'll probably only ever use it once and ideas on how to even make one yourself would be appreciated also.
It's a student affair anyways so it doesn't really have to look amazing or anything,

What exactly do you want convinced of, the big bang or evolution?, and if evolution which theory? or do oyu want convinced of how they maybe connected.

If I'm not mistaken (and I don't think I am), black holes will be created when the LHC finally starts as the machine is replicating conditions after the Big Bang. The 'End of the World' theory that some scientists (pessimists, if you like) have conjured is that which believes that these black holes will not dissipate and will in fact, swallow the Earth. Unikely, but not impossible.

There is no guarantee that black holes will be created by the LHC, but if there are as I stated above they will be too miniscule and will not last long enough for them to cause any serious harm. There are collisions like those that the LHC will create continuously happening in space when high energy cosmic rays collide with the Earth's atmosphere and if large black holes were created by these collisions then we'd already be in much more danger.
