That depends on if the OP is interested in PlayStation Move. If he/she is, then I would say just wait until Sept. 19th and buy the $399 bundle that includes the Move bundle and a 320GB HDD. That is essentially a free upgrade from 120GB (well, 160GB now), to 320. Of course, if he/she has no interest in Move, then yeah, go for the cheapest PS3 you can find (120GB are discounted at a lot of places to under $299 to clear them out for the 160GBs).if you undecided on which sku ps3 to, mat i recommed that you get the 120gig ps3. take some of the 100$ you save and buy your own after market HDD. you can get 320gig drives for as little as 50$ online at newegg.com.

[QUOTE="jnjreams76"][QUOTE="The-Apostle"]I heard we can still use the DS3 in combination with Move. Anyone know if this is true? If so, can you provide me with a link? Because it'll decide whether or not I'm still interested.The-Apostleyes, you can use DS3. the only issue with that, from what I've read, is that it feels quite awkward holding left hand only. too lazy to look for a link, but it's been well documented. I've tried finding a link but can't. Also, I think it would feel less awkward than the navigational remote they're using. I'd still like to read about it, though. You don't have to look very far to find it... It's all over the official Sony Move site. For example: http://us.playstation.com/ps3/playstation-move/faq/ and http://us.playstation.com/ps3/accessories/scph-98061.html Edit: linkified the URLs
Nope. It'll restore only the saves that aren't copy-protected. There used to be a trick you could do by adding a user to your system and using that account to start the backup, but it no longer works on more recent firmwares. Sony is actively blocking users from protecting their time investment, and it really, really pisses me off. I just bought a 120GB PS3 for my living room and moved my old 40GB upstairs (might be selling it to a friend later) and I couldn't keep a lot of my saves (Killzone 2, Demon's Souls, Assassin's Creed II, Godfather, Lost Planet, Mercs 2, Guitar Hero Metallica, Rock Band, UNO, and more). A year ago my 40GB PS3 died and I had to send it in to Sony. They sent me a refurb, and I lost my copy-protected saves then, as well. I am just not going to buy games with copy-protected save files anymore. It's stupid, pointless, and anti-consumer.If I do a full backup onto an external hard drive and then try to restore the data onto a different PS3 system, will the copy protected data be carried over too?

[QUOTE="valgear"]I never noticed Probably that's because I changed the tags on all of our April Fool's stories after 12:00 noon, so that people knew they weren't real after that . (April Fool's Day ends at noon, at least in Canada).Notice the "Tagged: April Fools 09" that should have been the biggest clue there.
