[QUOTE="aft_lizard01"]Well if you arent going to have a HD source for viewing TV an LCD will more than likely degrade your viewing. In fact your standard def. viewing area will actually decrease with a 32" lcd when going from a 26" SD(viewing standard 4:3 broadcasts). Anyways you would be better served findinga cheap 32" store brand, like Dynex from BestBuy which goes for about 500 new, has an integrated tuner, hdmi ports plus buy spending 70 extra you can get an extended warranty. I would go cheap new rather than used from Ebay IMO.

The Dynex is a great little set with a great picture, its tuner is excellent but SD channels are rather poor. For XBox the games looked great and I noticed little lag. My biggest problem with the set is that its speakers are rather weak.
Yeah, thanks, I'm looking at the Dynex 32" right now on BestBuy.com. But since it costs $100 more dollars than this TV (eBay), how would it look with an Xbox 360 connected to it? Because I was thinking of using the eBay TV just for viewing television and connecting the 360 and Wii to the Gateway 24" monitor.
THe TV is great for the price, good colors, and contrast. Its PQ is very good, except for SD broadcasts, but its integrated tuner is very good at picking up signals. Its speakers are a little week though. As far as XBox goes it is prety good at that, I noticed a little lag and some motion blur but thats it.

While nothing is broadcast in 768p almost every 720p/1080i TV sold will actually scale the pictures to 768p to match the panels native resolution. Don't know if Europe actually broadcasts in 1366x768p, I do know that it is the most common worldwide 720p/1080i panel sold, even in the US. As far as size for resolution it is commonly accepted that anything over 42" you should consider 1080p, while some think 46" or even 50" and above need 1080p. 1080i and 720p both look good on 42" and below, where they both have there uniqueness per viewing type, with 720p generally being accepted as better than 1080i.
