When I looked it up, I only found 3 or 4 games that were launching with PSVR. Is this correct or are there others that they just aren't listing on sites? I know there are more coming within the next several months, but I'm wondering what to save up for at launch.

So, I'm on the second dungeon I believe (had to go out of town for the past two weeks, so maybe should have started over...). It is the dungeon where you move the arms of a large figurine to access different levels. So, here is my question. I won the battle right after I came in contact with the sister, but now I'm unsure what do do. I can't tell if I'm lost or I need to do something and come back. I found that blue looking orb NPC for the second time and that is where I am stuck. I keep getting messages about carnages being able to be upgraded. Do I need to leave to take care of that first or am I just missing something in the dungeon?

Thanks!

@i_p_daily: Honestly...I think it has more to do with the setting of the game than anything else. Why other devs won't acknowledge that the Wild West should be represented more in games is beyond me.

I'm looking forward to playing it again, especially considering the digital version is less than $8 after tax for Gold members right now. I never finished it last time around, as I usually fatigue on R* games at about the half-way point....but we will see if I can pull it off this time around. I wish it was remastered though...or a sequel would get announced. This game sure would be pretty on current hardware...especially after seeing what Metal Gear looked like with a similar color palette.

So, honest question for those with 4k televisions. Is it a similar bump from SD to HD or more along the lines of from 720 to 1080? Seems like the driving force of these updated consoles is strictly for VR. The new slim xbox one will be capable of 4k resolution, but that isn't enough....scorpio will be along in another year. And, after just finishing Uncharted 4...I have a hard time thinking we were going to be upset with the graphical output of games on our current consoles.

Second question: Is the architecture the same for these newer consoles...so the developers will create a game and it will just be like it is on PC...if you have a beefier system, then you get the prettier game? I do fear that the console makers are biting a bit more off than they can chew. There be some adopters, sure. But, unless scorpio and ps4.5 get the majority of us to switch over, you have a split in your user base. And developers will NOT emphasize getting the absolute most out of these updated consoles if it is a small fraction of the user base that they are trying to sell to. For example, last gen, the 360 was the target platform because of the install base. So, even though the PS3 was capable of more, the devs didn't focus on using it due to the install base. Does this make sense? Will this be applicable to these updated systems?

I always have a hard time with these reward programs. Not sure if I should jump on one of the free games (WarioWare Touched! would likely be my choice) or if I just hold on to the coins. They eventually expire, so I hate to wait too long and end up losing coins.

What is your approach right now with this new system? Have they given any info on how quickly they will add new items to the rewards section?

I appreciate the links you posted as well. I still think haptic screen technology is something that I'd have to feel to believe, but, it looks much more promising that I envisioned. I'm still not sold on the design of the unit that has leaked in terms of form factor....but, I trust that Nintendo will take ergonomics seriously. But man, some of those links have got me really wanting a hands-on with this type of technology. Crazy! And, the fact that the iPhone is moving in this direction too really supports Nintendo's dive into the mobile market.

Before you write this off as a "touchscreen" interface, please look into this a bit more. There is a good thread on the Nintendo forum on the rumor of haptic technology that the NX is believed to use. My initial thoughts were negative, as many of yours are. I'm old and don't know how to link to other threads, etc. But, here are some quick videos and articles that make me MUCH more optimistic that Nintendo isn't just slipping the noose around their own neck. Do yourself a favor and look at some of this stuff:

What is Haptic Touch Screen Technology?

I did, but having trouble finding the exact version of Respawn that I have (it was recently updated for Windows 10.

Any idea on how to do the fresh install? I'm nervous about doing this without a video or fairly detailed instructions, as I'd be screwed if I messed this up (I assume). Thanks for responding!

I purchased a 250 GB SSD to upgrade my Alpha. I have tried using an 8GB usb as well as an old external (but formatted to make it clean) hard drive to make the recovery disc in Respawn. It looks like it does this successfully (I get a creation successful prompt after it is done). I close out the program, turn the Alpha off, put in my new hard drive, plug in the usb (or external drive), boot up the system. It immediately pops up with an Alienware logo and loads files. It seems that this is the Respawn program. It tells me it was unable to repair and needs to do a recovery. I get to the screen that is supposed to allow me to select the image (or drive?) in a large white box that says name/location, etc.

This is where my problem is. Nothing is listed in that white box. My usb or hard drive don't show up...and therefore, I can't put the OS, etc on my new hard drive. I would greatly appreciate any help with this! I've been looking online and most people seem to say this process is so simple. But I haven't seen the same problem that I'm running into. Any idea on how to fix this???? Not sure if I'd be better off just cloning the hard drive from here. I have a cable to do so, but was having a hard time finding a video on this (how to shrink the partition, etc).

Thoughts?
