@Gelugon_baat: It is not an argument. The dude said the only thing that happens is how vision gets blurry, if you play the game you will see there is more that happens. That tells me either he has not progressed through the whole game, or he has not taken the time to test the effect of losing sanity.
You have no idea about the game and yet you are here in defence. And yes, I do know you spend all of your time watching playthroughs of games, you have mentioned this numerous times.
@Gelugon_baat: I like how you comment on everything, no matter the subject or having played the game. You are getting rusty though, going for the lamest "git gud" rebuttal.
I don`t know how does this excuse this guy lying in his review though.
@P00DGE: "Nerds..." Considering you are on a gaming website commenting on a relatively obscure game, I would get off that high horse. Also, it is not just the "nerds", many many works were inspired by the works of H.P lovecraft, it did not happen randomly for fun. Obviously you only are familiar with the concept on the most basic level.
"There is a meter that tracks your sanity, which falls if you spend too much time around monsters--though it only makes your vision a bit blurry."
Welp, now I know this guy has not played the game much. There is much more that happens when your sanity drops to very low. The protagonist starts to hallucinate with more stuff happening other than just a blurry vision. I am willing to bet that dozen or so hours spent playing this game is an exaggeration. But of course, the commenters here are happy that a epic exclusive games has gotten a bad score so there you have it.
I just clicked on this hoping they would stop tweeting it over and over again...looks like someone thought this would explode and bring in the clicks, but was disappointed to see no one cares.
"The locals you meet are helpless simpletons, peaceful goat herders at best and, at worst, cowards hiding in ruined villages and collapsed caves until you wander by to hopefully rescue them. These poor people can't do anything until saved by a globetrotting band of wealthy adventurers."
What is this trend that they try to inject some sort of agenda in a review of a simple game?! What is being said here describes pretty much most RPG games. Have you ever played one...? I shudder to think actual points was deducted from the review based on this view.
