@corwin81: That's a great question. Our review is just a recommendation, ultimately it's up to you if you want to play or not. We want to make sure people who do buy the game have plenty of good stuff to look at also. All games, no matter what the score, have good and bad qualities to talk about.
@artfull47: After digging into the closed beta more, I'd say it's designed to be coop. A lot of the story is presented in collected videos and intel. I honestly found the Ghost Team's dialogue to be very juvenile and sometimes annoying.
@cappy: I appreciate the feedback. We typically rely on past experience to separate clear marketing jargon from proposed features. In this case, the outpost structure may be too familiar for people who have played a lot of open world Ubisoft games. I know Division didn't live up to my expectations. On a personal level, I'm hoping this is just a better version of what the Division was trying to do. I was a huge fan of Ghost Recon Phantoms. Here at the office, we are always challenging each other to make sure we really feel and can back up what we write about. A lot of us also follow vloggers and respect good arguments regardless of numbers of followers. These days YTers and vloggers actually far outnumber games press at preview events and have plenty to say on their own.
@cappy: When we get our hands on the beta you'll see a full opinion. We take skepticism of marketing very seriously. See our E3 coverage where we had a critical opinion. http://www.gamespot.com/videos/does-ghost-recon-wildlands-miss-the-mark/2300-6432750/
