First of all, I wasn't sure where to put this, but because it is in relation the ability to play games properly, I posted it here. Ok, so for a couple of months after buying my new rig, i've been running an 'acquired' version of vista ultimate, however since then it has been really complicated because I can't download service packs etc etc. So I'm buying it, i always intended to but I just didn't have the money. I'll be buying the the Home premium retail pack. My question is, should I just install the 32bit version it comes with or should I order the 64bit one straight away from microsoft? I would get the ultimate pack, however I can't justify paying over $400 aud for an operating system. A lot of games I've been playing lately has been stating that I should upgrade to service pack 1 etc..including FarCry 2. I was going to buy 'the witcher', 'company of heroes' and 'fallout 3', but have decided to go with the operating system to avoid further complications. I'll just have to remember to actually uninstall games that use DRM when i re-install windows. :( Gone are the days when you could just clean your drive and not have to worry about installation limits.
