BC is important to me for two reasons: ps2 will take up extra room (not a lot, but hey), and the fact I can't trade in/sell my PS2.

I'm embarassed for never completing OOT, and being too scared to even try a horror game when I was younger.

Sorry but bump :p Can anyone confirm my psu theory, or is there a chance it could be anything else? (turning off after 30 seconds could be a number of things, but bearing in mind it won't start with 8800gt plugged in it is hard to think of anything else it could be). Btw I have tried another of different wall sockets, same issue for them all.

Thanks for replies

to update problem: I tried switching RAM setups, having 1 stick only etc; no change. I tried switching gfx card (ati x600 now in atm). PC now starts fine, can finally get into BIOS etc but after 30-60 seconds PC turns itself off :(. Bearing in my mind my pc wouldn't turn on when I had my 8800gt in I think it is now fair to assume my psu is faulty? I do not have a spare to confirm my theory, but I honestly can't see anything else may be wrong.

Hi, I've just finished setting up my PC, and am a first time builder. When trying to turn it on for the first time I heard a loud, continuous beep. Other than that everything seemed to be working, fans, leds, power supply light etc Anyway, going back inside I noticed the 6 pin was not connected to my gfx card, so after doing that I tried again. This time the only thing that happened was leds came on , although no beeping. I tried a different pci 6 pin connector, same problem. So; any suggestions? PSU underpowered? Faulty? Graphics card faulty? Or something else? I am planning to try a different graphics card tomorrow, but have no time today so thought I would post now to get some early response.

My specs:

OCZ GameXStream 600w Power Supply
Western Digital Caviar SE16 400GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.66GHz (1333FSB)
Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case
Asus P5N32-E PLUS SLi nForce (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Corsair 2GB DDR2 (2x1GB)
BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC 512MB
edit: see a few posts down for update on problem

Hi, I'm planning on ordering the bits for my new P.C. being abit of a novice i wondered if these were good, and compatible with each other (if I've done my research right they are, but like I said being a novice, better safe than sorry :) ):

Asus P5N32-E PLUS

8800 GT

Core 2 E6750

Corsair 2gb Ram

Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case

Seagate Barracuda ES 320GB

OCZ GameXStream 600w

Just 2 final questions: On the mobo it says Dual GB LAN, is this just a fancy word for ethernet or...?Do I need extra cooling for this setup if I don't overclock?

If you do take the time to help me, thanks a lot in advance. Mucho appreciated :)

I don't mind playing with strangers or listening to them, but hardly ever speak myself. Hate players (typically on R6:V) who go so far to kick players with no mic for w/e reason.
