For a company that outright destroyed Nintendo in the American and Japanese arcades you'd think Sega America was the issue. Dreamcast from day one should have been marketed as a retro arcade console, it's Peter's fault for mucking that message up with "granddad". And especially given the kids who grew up on those games, were the ones with disposable cash not your 18/19 year old barely out of high school, but the 18-35 market segment.

Anyways Peter should be happy he's going to a business that revolves around selling sneakers again. He obviously has no capacity to deal with creative types, if he thinks this is some kind of victory.

Given the PS4 pro sold last year for $400 and this is just a modest upgrade from that, I'd only pay $400. (Yeah I don't give a damn about your FLOPS, just your measly 4 extra compute units).

@seventhsense13: Yeah most people don't have 4ks in their living room, how longs it going to take for those hand me downs to have 4k in the gaming room.

It's pointless. The only thing we should be concerned about is 1080p/60fps. I'll take the frame rates over the faux-k any day of the week. GTAV was a totally different game on my PC compared to the PS4.

@Kratier: disagree most TV's these days are 120hz. But I do agree with you, if my 1070 has issues running Doom at 4k/30fps good luck with that on the Scorpio at 4k/60fps.

@sdecker425: have you ever heard of the concept of a Middle-Man, or an OEM? Otherwise you would get why I used EVGA as an example and you'd understand why Microsoft is able to offer the same parts for much cheaper. Not to mention the amount of extra integration that's in non upgradeable hardware as opposed to PC components.

@uchihasilver: yup.. it's hilarious sdecker25 thinks Microsoft is getting more than 50% discount.... kid needs to grow up and get in the real world and realize just how few customers Intel/AMD deal with. There are far bigger distributors of parts and they don't seem to be getting 50%+ off. A simpler way to look at is, none of us would be building PCs if that were true. we'd all buy from Dell. Companies like EVGA are already buying in the millions for us...

I'm pretty sure the PS5 will be "the most powerful console". Sad Microsoft thinks just adding teraflops and not fixing it's first party games situation is what they need to do. Even worse the thing is only 1.4 TFlops faster than the PS4 Pro. PS5 will be 7+ teraflops and have Last Of Us 2.
