[QUOTE="Pvt_r3d"]"If you're reported. Though I dont really know if its illegal because Sony allows company make controllers like these." "Lol. No you cant. Its just cheap and people will send you messages. I've never used one myself tho, i see them all the time. You can tell if its a turbo controller by looking at the person if they have a deagle. If it doesnt recoil at all, its a turbo." "You wont get banned for using rapid fire controllers... If you were able to Sony wouldn't allow third party manufacturers to make rapid fire controllers. Its cheating but if you want it go ahead..." "No you won't. Even when people bother to report, sony doesen't do anything. "

For the DS3 mod that I will most likely get (if any) of the turbo controllers (the mod kit is only $20), there still is recoil. Watch the video.

Because that different brand is letting them shoot semi and burst weapons at full auto speeds. It's called cheating.

Phoenix534

Cheating but not something he will get permanently banned from PSN with. The only way he could get caught is if people votekick him out of the game.

There is a low chance that TC could have his console banned. Here's the real question. Are you willing to risk losing your system for a horribly unfair advantage?

Well, it it's a low chance, then, I could take the risk. I'll probably get bored of it after a while anyway. The actual mod for the DS3 (listed above in one of my posts) has you add in a button on the grip, so you can still use R1 for regular fire.

I never really played any call of duty but, from other FPS shooter's i've seen, holding a fire button always compromises accuracy by making bullets more random. The good shooter always needs to know where his bullets are going anyways... Well i don't know if that applies to call of duty though. If it does, i can't see the advantage of it either.

Scrotous
Well, if I were to use it for close range weapons (i.e. pistols) there would be a good advantage. Close range weapons don't need to be too accurate.

hey man even if sony themselves make a "rapid fire controller"...dont you dare using it online! use it on SP if you wish when you are bored, but why the hell do you need to spoil someone else's game with that thing? the world does not spin around you, you wont win every single match in the game, and you also gotta think that while you are at the loser team, there is someone else in the winning team, who says "im so happy im winning!" do you want to crush his happyness with that hellish device?lightleggy
Yes.

[QUOTE="MethodManFTW"]i still dont see the advantage... your gun is still going to have to reload and whatnot so its not gonna go any faster rite?Choco_Taco

I remember some people would use turbo controllers on the ps2 Socoms. They would pick the m16(a semi auto), put it on single shot, and with turbo it would fire almost as fast as F90/P90. This gave the m16 a HUGE advantage. Which is why they would get IMMEDIATLY voted out.

@TC- If you're using it in private matches with friends, I don't see a problem with it. But if you're gonna use it in online matches because your team is losing, then thats cheating and I would hope you do get banned:|

I won't be that cheap if I use it online at all xD. If I were to use it online, it would probably only be for the pistols. But let's get back on topic. What is the likeliness of me getting banned from the PSN from using a rapid fire controller?

You're going to use it to gain rank online, you said it yourself...that's what's pathetic. And yes; you will get banned so /thread i guess.

lightleggy

I think you misunderstood me. As of now, without the rapid fire controller, I'm lvl 70 3rd prestige. If I did create a new account for the sole purpose of the rapid fire controller, I would lose all of those achievements.

and you dont deserve those achievements while using a rapid fire controller. didnt even knew they existed...do you actually know they work? cuz you could be getting scammed here... anyway like a lot of people already said...dont be such a ********** and dont cheat online...theres a reason why weapons like FAL, famas and M16 are either 1 shot or burst. its an unfair advantage...even when your team is losing, it doesnt matter, if your team is losing, they are losing fairly, which gives you no right to cheat just to boost the team you are playing with...its just a damm game, its not like you are gonna get banned if your team loses, no, but you WILL get banned for using rapid fire controller (which probably does not even exist)

There are plenty of legit rapid fire controllers/mods. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rocketfish&%23153%3B+-+Rapid+Fire+Wireless+Controller+for+PlayStation+3/9443809.p?skuId=9443809&id=1218106121312 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002T4SH0A/ref=s9_simi_gw_s4_p63_t1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1MH1AHJ2DE68PM63PN6X&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000SKI8JC/ref=s9_simi_gw_s4_p63_t2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1MH1AHJ2DE68PM63PN6X&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846 http://www.totalconsole.com/servlet/the-964/PS3-Wildfire-Wireless-Bluetooth/Detail http://cgi.ebay.com/Playstation-3-3-mode-Button-Rapid-fire-mod-kit-PS3_W0QQitemZ360222107808QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item53dee928a0

[QUOTE="aleccj1"][QUOTE="Coldzboy"] You're pathetic...and just use it on a new account :S It's PSN not Xbox live, account's are free...Coldzboy

Pathetic? How so? If I created a new account, I would go from being lvl. 70 3rd prestige to level 1 on MW2... I really don't want to lose my achievements.

Well, all semi-auto weapons would be turned into fully auto (ex: FAL, all pistols)... There would be a huge advantage for certain weapons.

[QUOTE="Coldzboy"][QUOTE="aleccj1"][QUOTE="MethodManFTW"]nah i really doubt it... what would be the advantage tho?

I wouldn't be using it all of the time... For example, I would only use it during certain times in an online match where my team is losing badly, or when I am playing with my friends.
