I liked the headset being bundled in with purchases. It meant everyone was able to communicate - unlike other consoles where not everybody purchases a mic right away, if at all.
Ellen Page said in passing that she didn't appreciate her likeness being used - which is hardly 'taking someone to task'. This artist wrote a blog post over alleged plagiarism and is now happy the problem is being resolved.
Without the hyperbole, it's pretty obvious this isn't newsworthy.
I recognised the likeness immediately, but I think the final voice cast did an incredible job. Ellie and Joel in particular were voiced by truly talented actors.
I hope this small debacle over identity draws some much deserved attention to the actual voice actor - because they really deserve it.
No doubt a pleasant and friendly man in addition to being a pioneer of something remarkable that the gaming world is keen to embrace - and it's a shame he won't see it over the final hurdle. Either way, you can't say it wasn't a life well spent, albeit now sadly taken away.
Oh goody. Because as people dedicate less and less time to gaming - and as gaming becomes a much smaller, more niche medium - people will want little and cheap, something to tuck away in the living room, rather than something big and powerful... Oh, sorry, that's all completely wrong.
How difficult would it be for Ubisoft to simply confirm or deny something as fundamental as the continued development of the game? Saying "no comment" needlessly keeps fans in the dark.
