I really don't know how Microsoft will justify Pachter so called 'platinum' service or even a price hike for that matter. What feature can microsoft add that hasn't already been added?....The only feature i can think of that people would actually pay additional fees for would be if the 360 will no longer get the RROD. I mean i really don't know how Pachter came up with this one. Although if microsoft decided to do this it would end up exactly like the MW2 dlc ended up being. People saying they wouldn't and then end up getting it anyway.FF6fan

You obviously didn't read the article. A few sentences really that difficult for you?

in the case of the Alan Wake screenshot, upon seeing it people immediately reacted with "that looks blurry"

resolution adds a lot of sharpness, i play all of my PC games in high resolutions so when i play something that's not in those high resolutions you see it immediately

it's just a matter of being used to something, you notice it more, if you're used to see sharper games then when you see a sub-HD game you notice it immediately, if you're used to sub-HD then you don't notice anything out of the ordinary

I call BS. If you are used to "high resolutions", then 720p would look blurry to you. You would not be an expert as to the levels of blurriness that separate 720p and 540p.

The truth is, you would not notice any difference at all, same as no one else noticed anything until someone brought it up.

The same as no one noticed it with MGS4 even when it won best graphics of the year and it didn't even run at 720p.

[QUOTE="alexfla"]

The last game that scored a perfect 10 was MGS4 and everyone knows that game didn't run at a full 720p. It ran at something like 540p.

Yet it released to a perfect 10 score and it won graphics king on these forums. Also if I remember correctly it won best grafx of the year here at GS.

Alan Wake is rumored to not run at 720p. This is real proof that this game will score a perfect 10 and win console graphics king.

No, this is not a joke thread, my logic is sound. If you disagree please do so rationally. I will ignore any childish replies.

BigBoss154

...MGS4 didn't get a 10 just because of its graphics.

"Metal Gear Solid 4 is an awe-inspiring synthesis of dramatic storytelling and entertaining gameplay."

You think AW will get a 10...because of its resolution?

MGS4 didn't get a 10 due to graphics alone BUT graphics played a substantial part. Considering it won an award by GS editors as the best graphics of the year, they surely noticed and were influenced by the visuals. Also it was hailed on these forums as the console graphics king.

It accomplished all of this and still couldn't run at 720p.

Alan Wake supposedly doesn't run at 720p. Cows are making this out to be an insurmountable obstacle. But I remember the last time a major game met this same "crippling" situation, it managed to scored a perfect 10, win graphics of the year award and was considered the console graphics king on these forums.

I believe Alan Wake will follow suit.

I understand why those who already purchased a DSi are hostile towards the XL, especially with the recent announcement of the 3DS.

One thing no one can deny is that the XL is THE BEST way to experience DS games. And this will always be the case.

Those waiting for the 3DS will wait a year and then there will only be a handfull of 3DS games at launch so they will be playing regular DS games on their brand new 3DS.

I have the regular fat DS and I always wished they put bigger screens on there. Now I finally got my wish. I'm going with the XL. And yes i'll buy the 3DS too when it matures and has great games plentiful.

This is by far the best 360 bundle I have seen. Two relatively recent and top notch games, the 120 GB HD and you get it in Elite black. All of these are Jasper models which pretty much eliminates the RROD issue. For anyone who doesn't have a 360 or wants to upgrade to a Jasper unit, now is the time. Thoughts? http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-120GB-Elite-Spring-Bundle/dp/B002I0J8ZS/ref=pd_ts_vg_2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames

For those who have played both, which is the better game? I own a copy of Lost Odyssey but i've been too busy to play it. Will probably have time this week. I was thinking of buying FF13 but after reading about it's linearity, I am having doubts. Thoughts?
