infamous seems to be the better of the two, as a previous poster mentioned having many many powers that are poorly implemented isnt as entertaining as having a couple that are. half life 2 and its gravity gun are a perfect example of one "power"/item amazingly implemented that stayed interesting throughout the entire game... im not saying that prototypes abilities will be poorly implemented, simply that there are so many more (based on available info) that it is unlikely that they are as integrated into the gaming environment as the few that have been shown so far for infamous..

after hulk and scarface I find it hard to think that prototype will be the kind of game that is worth buying (maybe just renting), it could well be very entertaining for a weekend but the novelty will likely wear off quickly...

hopefully though both are good, and will help to make the waiting for crackdown 2 that much easier...

they will, and probably more than just a single new rare game. whether or not we will see will be able to play what they announce this year is another issue entirely but simply based on the 360s point in the product life cycle, Microsoft will not throw in the towel...

Teemany you seem to be completely unable to hear what anyone else is saying, or at least flat out refuse to listen. Id have to agree with clone and a few others in that you really are much to focused to be just a standard fanboy. you have to be either payed by sony or your just forget to take you 500g a.d.d pill. Both services are of a high quality, quality that is not affected by motion control or blu ray... also for such an avid rant about the power of the cell and general hardware capabilities you seem to forget that last generation the ps2, the weakest console, was home to some of the most memorable games of the generation..

Till I moved to another country 2 or so years ago it nearly impossible to find a legitimate copy of a game, movie or music cd where i lived. PS2's and xbox's where sold modded and there were xbox 360 games that could be bought for under 4 dollars that would run on an unmodded system. hacking is no doubt pretty lucrative for the right people and as has been said before the costs of one or two systems or br players or whatever are really irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. its probably fully possible to make a fake ps3 game, however mass production of that game is probably not. the cost of a br disk, the lack of proper fast speed internet as to send and download the massive files, dealing with heavy sony regulation in countries where the ps3 has been extensively sold and lack of ps3 support in countries where it hasnt... it is factors like these that make it impractical

Yeah new account...good a time as any. yeah fear might be the wrong word, but your post seems to imply that sony and rest just dont care about this. I fully agree that the 3 are in the business of knowing, and without a doubt know the ins and outs of cloud technology considerably better then i ever would or probably could. however if 4 or 5 years before the arrival of youtube (feb 2001/2000) someone told you about it, you would probably be skeptical as well. its very possible that in a few years when this technology becomes more viable sony and microsoft will jump on the bandwagon. PS Cloud is possibly a precaution for this very contingency.

sony is and should be scared of onlive. whether or not onlive succeeds in its current iteration is irrelevant.. the simple fact that the possibility of this kind of technology being available should be a threat to them. Odds are it wont succeed this year, maybe not even in the next 3 or 4 years. But sony like microsoft and nintendo are in the console business for the long run if in 4 years something like onlive works, and works well, then it could very well canabalize their sales. saying they are afraid of onlive specifically may be a misnomer, but sony is definitetly afraid or weary of the technology standing behind it. something they have proven themselves by buying up PS Cloud..
