[QUOTE="PannicAtack"]People choose what they want to believe. It's that simple. >_>PannicAtack

So if people believe in a homicidal maniac who kills children, men, and women just because they do not agree with his point of view; then can I believe that Hitler was a son of God? Will I be able to have buildings with fascists sings all over it??? Hmm???

Yes

Well, a lot of countries won't allow you to do that. So no, you are wrong.

I don't care about "a lot of countries." A person is entitled to what they believe, no matter how crazy, or wrong, they are. No law can change that.>_>

That was not the whole point was it? Christians are allowed to build churches, and I am not.

What's stopping you from building a church yourself? If there is some law that prevents it, then that law is wrong. >_>

I don't know if you just can't say that you were wrong, but whatever. You got my point. These religions get benefits that other believes do not.

You can interprate the Bible in w/e way you want, people have been doing so since the scriptues in it were written, but debunking Genesis doesn't disprove God or any other deity.

Also, you have to realise that the Bible isn't one book written be one author at one time, but many books by many authors over thousands of years. Different times, different **** of writing, grammar and meaning for the times. And not even all the scriptures that were still used were included.

You have to take these things into consideration when reading the Bible and all other literature or you may get a conclusion the author didn't want you to get.

My previous edit was: edit: I do not know what your beliefs are, but you just stated that the part disproves creationism. It seems like too many people take it literally.

Read the bold. There is NO conclusion, or a lesson, or whatever you get at the end of a book because of exactly what you said. People (those authors including) could understand it in any way.

At least he has a rational explanation for his hypothesis. You, on the other hand... >_>

XenoNinja

a rational EVOLUTIONIST hypothesis doesn't make it a FACT!

Hypothesises never did, and never will become facts. Go and read what the differences are.

I think I'll just throw this out there

for the past couple of days Ive been pondering the existence of God. When I was a christian, I looked at the world and everything that happens in the world, and ive been trying to make sense of it with God in the equation.

Now, since then, ive been trying to make sense of things, and i've taken God out of the equation of things, and now, somehow, everything makes almost perfect sense.

My question to you is what's holding you back from Atheism?

not sure if this is his case but admiting youre an atheist is scary as hell.

I consider myself a Christian. I fail to see how the Theory of Evolution is somehow some attempt to disprove God. >_>

Read Genesis 1 and 2. You'll understand.

That doesn't disprove God, it just disproves the literal interpretation of Genesis.

Are we going to pick good parts and assume they are literal; and the parts that we do not like aren't?

edit: I do not know what your beliefs are, but you just stated that the part disproves creationism. It seems like too many people take it literally.

Have you people even seen the actual theories of creationists? It is a complete load of BS. Any person who atleast paid attention to physics and chemistry can see it.

[QUOTE="mig_killer2"][QUOTE="fatzombiepigeon"]If you don't, there's something wrong with you to simply ignore mountains of evidence that is sitting right infront of you.mig_killer2

what if it was planted by satan?

I'd need proof of that assumption. And more than a passage from the Bible. I mean physical evidence.

the evidence that it was planted by satan has been destroyed by satan. that satan kid is clever yo

Why are we limiting ourselves to Satan and Christian God? Let's go wild and say evolution is a master plan of African God Bumba.
