My elite is giving unreadable disc signs sometimes and today the disc drive was making grinding noises when reading a disc. Microsoft say that I have to pay £60 to repair it as my warranty for a year is up and I have 2 years left of the 3 years and they say they will only repair for free if its a rod issue. I am thinking of buying a new xbox arcade and will attach my 120 gb harddrive to it cause it will take 3 weeks to fix my elite and there are alot of good games comming out. Should I buy a new arcade xbox or wait 3 weeks and pay £60?
