Its enjoyable, but the narrative is terrible when taken in context with the entirety of Tolkien's literary works. Also the themes that are omnipresent in the novels are just pushed aside here. Most people won't care about that kind of thing, I'm sure, but as someone who grew up reading Tolkien, its a bit off putting.

My roomie is so dramatic at times. When something good happens, he yells, "THANK YOU JAESUS!"

I figure this Jaesus fellow is probably overjoyed with all this thanking, especially since his next door neighbor, Jesus, usually gets all the credit.
