Wow you took each and every word right out my mouth, back when AC flopped i knew that they had nailed a lot of the ambitious concepts of the game, only they designed the content around it poorly. Same thing with ME1, the inventory was horrible, you have all that is important right in front of you. It didnt add anything to the game, just needless filler that slowed the game down. My main complaint however was the length, the main quest plus the sidequests on those planets could be finished in around 15-20 hours on your first play through. Im no fanboy, but BioWare by sticking to the 360 and PC, only had to worry about design choices as well technical optimisation hence why the game has turned out so great.Mass Effect was like Assassins Creed in a sense. Both new IPs, both good games. Mass Effect was much better though. ME2 is to ME what AC2 was to AC. A massive improvement in almost every aspect. More characters, & in my opinion more likeable. A story as interesting, if not better then the first. Combat miles ahead of the first, almost on par with gears, and that's before you include biotics & squad control (Which then sets itself apart from Gears, not making it worse, but not an improvement over Gears, just different). Almost no technical issues. Redundant RPG elements removed, such as the inventory system which I spent ages breaking down hundreds of the same items to turn to omni-gel & pointless character improvements, such as spending a point to increase weapon damage by 1%, where as now they have halved the level cap & a point will increase weapon damage by 5-10%. Exploration removed & replaced withs scanning, which as of yet I still don't mind, though it's the type of thing I'd expect to get bored of.
People whining over some RPG elements being removed really have to take a step back & remember what they offered in the first ME. They were redundant & tedious. My only complaint is the helmet can't be toggled like the first, but even then, I would have it removed indoors all the time anyway, but because they now have attribute bonuses I feel I am missing something, though they are very small. I can't consider using the preorder armour for this reason as the helmet cannot be removed, though I like the N7 armour the most anyway, so it gives me an excuse not to use them. ME2 is the greatest single player experience this gen.

Well whats supposed to mean? FFXII started development a little after FF X was completed. They are multiple FF teams at Square if I recall FXIII started development in 05 or 06.After X there was X-2 and XII, in the main series anyway. According to a recent Kitase interview, XIII was a PS2 game for year and a half, so that would mean work was underway during the development of XII, and yet they had something to show in E3 06 (the battle stuff was reportedly done using the engine).[QUOTE="allsystemsphai"]Interesting, but just when did PS3 development seeing as XII launched in March 06?jasonharris48
