To Treble, I hear ya. Wii not so much, it's gon through a serious drought and although it has a few big titles comin out there isn't a lot besides that. 360 has a really nice library from being out so long. Ps3 still has some very nice exclusives though; LittleBigPlanet, Lair, and Heavenly Sword to name some major ones. Investing in Blu-ray is not playing chicken. It has more support from both consumers and movie houses and is selling better than HD-DVD already.

A middle aged mom will def listen to a fanboy if he works at a retailer, I've seen and been a subject as well to such negative critique at EB games. Dead in the water you say (snakenamedjoe)? Will never recover? This is all coming after the major praise Sony received after presenting Home and LittleBigPlanet? I never said I'm completely on Sony's side here. I spend plenty of time with Wii and 360. I was adding what obviously made a huge impact on sales. Besides, the less competitors in the market, the more crap will appear. The PS3 was just released and you are willing to call it dead, you prove to not only be a snake but a fanboy hidden in incompetance.

You know what I think would really sell PS3's? The press learning to keep their overopinionated mouths shut and keeping content reasonably objective for once instead of always feeding their subjective chum to fanboys looking for blood. The overall negativity of the press and fanboys alike (especially fanboys, like the ones who work at retailers and try to persuade consumers otherwise) reverberates to the masses, creating a disillusioned idea that the PS3 is a handicapped piece of hardware with no future plans, despite Sony's fortelling and exampling of quality future releases. Of course, the masses are equally to blame for being so gullable, but you can't expect much from a middle-aged mom deciding on whether or not she should really buy that PS3 that her kids want. Word-of-mouth will sell anything, but when the fanboys and negative press become the word-of-mouth sales are crippled.
