We should criticize the system and look into some degree of police reform but i feel like the public is not sitting on what can be considered reasonable compromise. It seems the blame for racism is being placed entirely on the police when i think its fair to bring up the crime rate to explain police behavior.

If those are not being listed for the purpose of excusing police discrimination then why list them if that isnt what you are saying because it does look exactly like that to me.

I dont have to refute any of that. My overall point was police discrimination is bad. That doesnt require me to prove direct comparisons between it and racism even if its not quite correct to say its the same thing as racism. Im only trying to point out the fact that discrimination has never been acceptable and its only acceptable just now because the current popular narrative requires it.

So again, i'll have you and several other people just get on here real quick and pick out the portion of the post that compares racism and police disrimination, thinking they're intelligent to focus on that specifically without actually addressing the obvious point behind the statement....

You know what else might affect cops' behavior? Crime rate by race.

I notice no one uses the word discrimination anymore. I used to see that all the time before especially when talking about racism but i never see it now. Obviously it cant be used because we are simultaneously attacking another group of people (cops) while denouncing racism, that very act requires discrimination.

Well if we make sweeping generalizations to all the police and hold ALL of them accountable then yeah, it kind of is. Such as defunding police.

Is it that you believe police crime is far more abundant than black crime or what? I just dont see the morals or logic behind the concept.

Isnt this attitude towards police the same thing as racism?

Celebrities. They are particularly annoying me through all of this. Insulting and guilt shaming white americans for being neutral or silent on racism. These people are so far and away from anything resembling economic or financial hardship, yet they feel somehow qualified to talk about privilege.... as they continue to maintain their vast wealth. Its like someone at the top of a tower during a flood screaming down at people occupying space on a floating plank. But a middle class american, who has several reasons to or not to vote a certain way due to concerns such as taxes, religion, etc... that isnt ok. Give me a break. You think any of these rich white kids actually care about anything or anyone? Anytime a celebrity drops a sizeable donation and makes the news, pay attention to their actual net worth because i feel its really about the equivilent to me reaching into my pocket and throwing change to the homeless guy at the corner.

Even a person who's political affiliations and beliefs align, we should be able to tell its pretty much overwhelmingly liberal news reporting and thus have a particular agenda. You dont really understand that the reason all you see and hear right now about bad cops is because someone decides that is what you should see?

Because this was one of CHAZ's demands, stop evictions presumably because its unfair due to racism. I thought i was being reasonable and looking for workable compromises. So you're saying "No, EVICT THEM!" Am i understanding you correctly?

Most of these issues dont actually have anything to do with racism if you say that. We dont really have a racist problem, we have a class problem where a particular race happens to mostly but not entirely fall in the lower class.
