....ok are you serious? You dont think things change over a couple hundred years or so? Are you prepared to revert back to a pre-industrial age way of life?
Edit:well not quite that far back but still, i think the point is clear.

People just do not undertand there will always be stupid idiotic thugs everywhere and in every profession. From fast food to police to lawyers and everywhere in between. When you start thinking about any group of people armed with authority, there will inevitably be a number of them that abuse that power. Its not a fixable problem and the black population being the target of this has more to do with other issues such as crime rate, location, economic status, etc. Now... the black population overwhelmingly falling into these categories and susequently being targeted as a result is another matter and yes absolutely needs to be addressed but i dont think there's a quick solution to that problem. Unless we are just talking about accountability or general empathy, those are things we should be able to do in the short term.
I feel like we are starting to approach dangerous territory here though. If we say "we're fed up" and continue on with these nationwide daily events that require this type of ongoing police presence, what happens when the cops start saying "screw it, they dont pay me enough to deal with this". You can say whatever you want but at the end of the day, we do actually need that police force for society to function.

As soon as anyone to the left or right of you starts rioting, it becomes a riot and you become directly responsible for not either immediately leaving the "protest" or attempting to stop it directly. A crime was commited and all "peaceful protesters" took part in it.
You ever see a televised Christian sermon or attended one? They generally end the service by asking if anyone wants to come to the front and receive the Holy Spirit. Typically what you'll see is the pastor walk up and down a line of people standing there and touch them on the forhead. People will react differently to this. Now i've seen this countless times myself from childhood and it does look somewhat ridiculous from an outside perspective, i definitely didnt take it very seriously. Until one day i was laid out on the floor, unable to move. It is unfortunately not something that can be publicly proven or shown to another person. Its only possible through prayer on an individual basis. I suspect a good amount of Christians dont actually get direct communication from God in this manner and is why they dont discuss it but for me, this is when Christian belief stopped being blind faith and became fact.

Yeah, lives before livelihoods, need before greed. Of course i figured there would have to be a point where its a gray area but i guess i should concede that it isnt. My concern isnt about people losing their 401ks, savings or upscale houses, my concern is for the apartment dwelling, single parents supporting multiple children and losing their only source of income. But i suppose... even that takes a back seat to possibly saving a person's life from an otherwise overcrowded hospital. It is a tough choice though, i definitely dont blame anyone that feels differently about it.
I gotta say im not fully understanding the point of prolonged lockdowns that last more than a month. Everyone quarantined that was infected should have recovered by that time.
So... this all has to be paid back, right? I'm reading into it and finding the statement thrown out here and there that this is just "an advance 2020 tax return". But im not 100% sure on it because all the FAQs i see online dont come out and directly say we will be paying back. I dont know if that is just supposed to be a common sense thing or what... i dont remember the details about the last stimulus checks. But basically, if you typically rely on those returns to pay for things, this is pretty much doing nothing. Asking anyone who knows for sure, is that correct?
Im a bit sad at the moment as i've recently realized the abundance of extra masks i have lying around can not actually be donated to any local hospitals due to fraud.
Apparently there are a good number of fake masks circulating around by people trying to make money or something like that. My in-laws are Japanese and they typically send me care packages filled with clothes, snacks, etc. One of those things being masks just for when we get sick or whatever but a lot of the stuff is never in original packaging in order to fit them in a box. So the issue is hospitals have no way of verifying their legitimacy and thus cant take them.
@horgen:
What i meant to say was DS 1 had quick shortcuts everywhere and you for the most part didnt have to do anything in any particular order. That means it was a relatively quick process to start a new character and access whatever you wanted. DS 2 and 3 didnt really allow that so quickly because progress in the game was linear and thus a lot slower. I dont have the patience to play through those two games several times over, even to try new weapons/spells, it just isnt that much fun or worth the effort. Its not something i can finish in a single day.
Its sad, especially in the case of DS 3 because that really would be the best one if it allowed the shortcuts and flexibility of DS 1.
@JustPlainLucas:
I'll say season 3 of Castlevania was pretty slow going if we're comparing it with the previous 2 but it was apparently interesting enough for me to finish it in two nights and i'd say the last two episodes made the dragging season worth it... (Hector is incredibly stupid).
I cant go back to Dark Souls. The third game is too linear, so it takes forever to get a character going with the weapons and spells you want. 2 isnt much less linear and 1 is too much of a step backwards in terms of mechanics.
Recently found my DS and realized i had three games i never finished for that, working on Dragonquest 9 now.
