@Nintendo_Man I agree with you, developers need to be held accountable for releasing buggy and unfinished titles. But do not equate a relatively minor bug, like MCC's MP, with a game like Sonic, which suffers from multiple gamebreaking issues. If Gamespot truely believed in holding developers accountable for buggy games, games like Unity wouldn't receive such high scores.
@grapeslime @andmcq True, fair enough. So why then, does this 'as of now' review only apply to certain games. By the same token, Unity should score much lower, with a updated review to come later. Instead, all errors in Unity are ignored.
This is concerning to say the least. Gamespot's reviews simply aren't consistent enough anymore. How can Halo: MCC be awarded a 6 when the reviewers only complaint is that a MP doesn't work: a fault that will remedied within the coming days. By comparison, how can a game like AC: Unity, a game which is systemically broken and undoubtably unfixable in the short term, be awarded a 7?
I don't care much for review scores, but it strikes me that Gamespot are using this feature of their reviews to promote games unjustly.
... it just so happens that the games being promoted are from Ubisoft.
@gamerboy100 See, they're lying through their teeth here. They would have clearly experienced game breaking bugs in this game but have opted not to mention them.
