Doom 3 was a revolution in gaming. It introduced us to the fps genre and had some spectacular open-world combat. Combined with the invention of the 'deathmatch' (a first for gaming at the time) mode for multiplayer and that ID invented anti-aliasing for this game, it is definitely the most important game released in PC history.
@nomailx If the writing's good and the storyline engrossing, reading the text shouldn't be an issue. But if the storyline is kinda boring then I can see how reading would become tedious.
What a surprise, EA fucked it up. I really thought they'd be able to see the benefits of growing this into a billion $ sports game but apparently they're too dense to realise that a little extra effort in their games would go a long way.
