[QUOTE="angelyoel"]Ok so i Just built my rig and here are the specs. Amd 1090t, 8gb ripjaws ddr3. 1000w psu. Asus mobo with 4 pcie slots. H50 cooling system. I got the xfx hd6950 do i really need a card for physics!? Cuz when i run 3dmark on the physics part it gets really slow. So let me know what u guys think. Also if i do really one which one should i get!?ferret-gamer
you cant normally mix gpu's and get physics its normally from the gu itself physix from nivida for example
and to get that to run on an amd gpu isnt technically proper
physx can be ran on hybrid solutions, nvidia tried to cripple the capability, but there are still modded drivers around that allow AMD+Nvidia(physx the same way as Nvidia+nvidia(physx)However TC i would like to point out that in almost all games the physics engine is ran on the CPU, Nvidia's Physx is just about the only mainstream physics engine that can be ran on GPUs, do you play enough games using physx to warrant buying a separate card just for that.
Not really but i saw a the geforce 460 for $160 so i thought about it[QUOTE="angelyoel"]Ok so i Just built my rig and here are the specs. Amd 1090t, 8gb ripjaws ddr3. 1000w psu. But why? Cuz itll be only for physics. I think theres an option u should be able to use that extra card for physics...I have the same motherboard and I didn't have that issue. That's strange.SoraX64Omg then help me out dude. How u oc'ed ur system?
I had it at 1.45 and nothing. I dont wanna mess up my computer. Up to where should i reach?try raising the voltage a little bit from the value its at now. If it doesn't boot then lower the FSB bit by bit until the computer does boot. At that point raise the voltage a little bit again and then the FSB . Rinse and repeat.

I got the h50 and it didnt crash at all it was dworking fine. I ran prime95 and everything was cool. I just wanna be able to oc tru the bios. Or is it safe to oc tru the software? I used TurboV.[QUOTE="angelyoel"][QUOTE="GTR12"]
What cooler are you using? you can't just expect to hit 4Ghz straight away.
Slowely raise the FSB and bechmark to see if it crashes.

Through BIOS, don't use software OC'ers for the CPU.
Thats the problem eveytime i try to oc tru the bios it says it failed and it doesnt boot up so i have to go back to normal.I got the h50 and it didnt crash at all it was dworking fine. ok guys so i dont know anything about overclocking. I was hoping to oc my system, i watched some tutorials but i nothing works after i oc'd tru the bios, it says it failed to oc. I managed to oc my 1090t over 4000mhz using the turbov by asus. My mobo is the ASUS M4A79T Deluxe. So i ran prime95 for an hour an everything was fine, max temp at 31C. But everytime time i turn off the computer i have to redo everything again so i wanna oc tru the bios. Let me know if you can help me out. At stock speeds 3200mhz it runs at 19C.

This is what i get with cpuz
Your memory speed is only slightly past stock speed, you will not see any differance in performance.
Am confused cuz with the cpuz i see it says 675.6mhz and on top it also says 2006.9mhz?
