I have an x1950xt 512mb. I have an aftermarket Thermaltake cooler on it, so it can oc if need be.I think I can skip Dx10 1st gen as far as Crysis, and GeoW are concerned right. I have an x2 4800, and 2gb ddr2 6400 ram. Can I run these two maxed @ 1280x1024, and on high 1600x1200?

Do you know how much a X2 3600+ is?!? Get a aftermarket nice one with it and OC it to 3ghz and its pretty much as good as a E6600 / 6000+LouieV13
Does that work stock? Anyway would those bottleneck an 8800gts? An e4300oc, or an 3600x2 oc to those kinds of speed?

Dunno about those processors getting price cuts but right now the E4300 is the best budget overclocker.
With a decent motherboard and ram, hitting 3ghz min is pretty easy, while 3.3-3.4ghz is about the max with stock cooling.

Really! What would it's AMD equivalent be at that speed? Will that processor last a while? Is it just some Bio tweeking to get it to do that?

Hi guys, I'm on a tight budget and would like to find the best cpu for $100 so I can get a nice gpu like an 8800gts. Judging by Newegg prices the e6300 and e6400 should be under$100 by next Sunday. Ihave read in alot of places that the e6300 and e6400 are awesome to overclock at stock cooling. Is this true? How high can they reach? Are there any others that can? Will the e6300 and e6400 be included in the 50% reduction next Sunday
