A bit my sentiments too,

It could backfire, but most of the time a good and original concept makes half the game. I think that even if it isn't AAA or AA material (which it probably won't be) it wil have a certain underground following (like Ico in the day)...

I think we don't count the Wii for two reasons.

1/ some don't count it because it's not an interesting discussion, the Wii sells way more, it's a fact and it's boring. The battle between MS and Sony is where the fun is at.

2/ I don't count it, because (because I am a Wii owner myself) I found out the hard way Wii is an expensive and persistent Fad. Play it for the first hour and you think it's the best thing since peanut-butter, play it for three months and you think it's the worst money spent since you bought that chocolat fundue usb thingie for your pc (honestly, who eats molten chocolat above their keyboards?)...

lets have a raise of hands...how many people are looking forward to with sheer excitement over Wii Sports Resort? ehh...ok lets try this again....Wii Music? ohh...well...err...GTADS?Adonymous

What does that have to do with anything.

It's not because some extreme crap comes out on the system, there aren't some jewels either.

Deadly Creatures looks like something that might be very interesting to play.

Deadly Creatures...

It's one of the games I bought my Wii for.

I know there's not much known about specific gameplay mechanics, but what is known is pretty revolutionary.

An action Adventure starring a tarantula or a scorpion, surviving the hard and cold world that is earth... Sounds amazing.

It looks good, original and extremely fun.

I would keep the Wii and the games you like on it, maybe sell the games you're bored with.

But games like Madworld and Deadly Creatures will probably be amazing, so selling your Wii could come back to haunt you.

Ps3 is a fantastic gaming machine, try to get a version with BC, I still use it more than I originally thought (persona 3 and odin sphere look amazing with the upscaling).

Don't forget Sony wins with this situation.

Sony owns 22% of the SE stock.

If FFXIII sells more, Sony indirectly makes more money...

Yeah looks like sony is "effed in the a" (sarcasm)

can you really call Scene it a MS copy of Buzz?

onewiththegame

Yess you can, I've played both and scene it is a blatant rip off of Buzz.

What's more Buzz is more fun and has a better quiz mechanic.

One example of this is that in scene it you see which buttons everyone presses, while in Buzz the inputs are shown after everyone has answerd.

Nothing more irritating than getting a Biology or movie related question and seeing that everyone waits to answer so they can copy your input...

The Vats system works with action points (depending how fast your character is) and hit percentages (body is the highest and head will be one of the smallest.

You pauze the game, choose where you wanna shoot, hit or miss, if you have any remaining actionpoins you shoot again, else you end you're turn and the enemy attacks.

But what I'm afraid of is that it will be muh easier to play it as a shooter.

If they are smart, they'll make ammo something that's hard to find, so you get the choise between, vats (use ammo sparingly, but with a chance to miss) and shooter (just blast away your bullets)...

I don't know if it will though, I'm just saying how I would've done it.

It's true, Sony lost an exclusive deal.

But it was to be expected. In the end cycle of the ps2 they already said they weren't interested in securing third party exclusives.

I guess they had an intensive marketing study that told them that in the end they aren't profitable and from the looks of gta4 they were right. Don't forget Sony isn't some rertarded backwater company, everything they do and let happen is carefully considered and risk assesment is done.

I still think Sony had the best key-note from a gamers perspective. They showed the most games (but not many I'm really interested in), and brought the boring stuf in an innovative way...
