i was having the same problem and this guy posted this and it really helped.

NAT=Network Address Resolution Protocol, it is a security device in all home routers that hides your IP address to make your own network secure

NAT 3 limits communication and has high security, to lower this to NAT 2 you will need to enable UPnP. With my router I needed to place my PS3 on a DMZ. A DMZ allows unrestricted access to the specified IP address both too and from, without compromising security of your network.

I don't know what kind of router you have, and if you don't have one then you would need to contact your internet service provider.

UPnP is usually an option that just requires clicking a bubble to enable it, rather simple if you look around in the router.

DMZ what i would do is go to network settings on the PS3, write down your IP address, then find the DMZ setting and put that IP address in there.
