Hey people, around three months ago I had to replace the IDE cable in my Xbox due to some unexpected malfunctions to the original. Its only been a few months and I've only played my Xbox a handful of times and I'm recieving more error messages, but this time they are much more vague. I either have to replace the IDE cable once more or buy a new DVD Drive (around 50 dollars).

I just would like to ask if anyone out there has experienced the same problem (i believe its error message 14, but I cant recall at this time) and if they have any advice. I really dont want to purchase a new Drive and then find out it was something else.
