sony has created their own new line of 3D TVs specifically directed at PS3 gaming. and.......... its ****ing affordable!!!

"Each 3D Display will include one pair of 3D Glasses as well as an HDMI cable and a copy of Resistance 3 on Blu-ray disc-all of $499.99 (MSRP)"this also comes with 2 pairs of 3d glasses.

That alone has got me excited. but there is more

sony has developed a new method of split screen, in which 3d is utilized to make the players perceive the entire screen to themselves. Im not making this up. this is going to be at E3

kinda blows the microsoft showing out of the water, doesnt it? I mean, this is just mindblowing.

Seeing now that both handhelds are going to focus on 3D gaming even more, will this hurt 2D gaming more? How much greater will the proportion of 3D games to 2D ones be on both handhelds? From what I've seen so far, it looks like we're going to see 3D games continue to rise in poplarity while 2D games slowly die off. Even with the PC and indie games being made on services like XBLA, Wiiware, or the PSN, you can't really deny that 2D games have become and are becoming more forgotten by many gamers out there.
