Anyway I think if they actually had some value I would have more reason to actually pursue them. Right now they are pointless "oh wow I earned 250pts for wasting enough time playing Gears of War that I amassed 5 billion kills" Thats not impressive no one cares that you spent more time playing Gears then everyone else, but if you did you should get something for it besides some useless score.Sepewrathother than entertainment, video games are useless too. achievements are part of the video game... achievement ->videogame -> entertainment.
some people have some good ideas about it...like be able to use the points to buy things for your avatar...like maybe if you get enough points from Call of Duty: World at War....then maybe you could get something like a M1 Garand for your avatar to hold...something along those linesManiac000not such a bad idea.. but i bet the moguls up top are thinking, "if they are willing to spend hours to complete achievements and earn _____, then they are probably willing to spend money for ______"
when you say new, do you mean brand new? or new to you? This is my COMPLETE RROD Repair Center Experience:

Feb 21, 2008 - The box arrives via UPS, I package my 360.
Feb 22, 2008 - I ship my 360 via UPS to the repair center in TX.
March 4, 2008 - MS has "fixed" my console and has shipped it back to me.
March 9,2008 - I recieve my 360 via FED-EX, and it was a new unit, I also recieved that 1 month XBL Gold card.
