Technically guys, they still have motion controls. The Wii controllers are fully compatible with the system. Nothing is stopping any developer from developing games for the Wii U with motion controls.RandoIph

And from the sounds of things, if you play local multiplayer you'll HAVE to use the Wii Remotes, as it sounds like you can only use one tablet per system.

Uncharted 3 is going to include a LAN mode, and you can thank the hackers for that. ND was working on some co-op and multiplayer stuff when PSN went down, and to continue testing it they set up some LAN code. And since it's there, they're going to leave it in.

It's being reported that you won't be able to buy the tablet controllers separately - one comes bundled with the system and that's it.

From the sounds of things, the system can support just one tablet controller. Additional players will have to use Wii Remotes in all the multiplayer games being developed now.

Now I guess you won't have to worry about $200 controllers!

I like the controller and it has some possibilities... but in the end it'll only be useful on exclusive games, much like other non-standard features.

I also worry about future-proofing. Seems to be on par with the PS3 and 360, so they'll get third party ports tossed on their system. But the moment Sony and MS release their systems, the Wii U may end up being like the Wii in that it'll get a few good exclusives and a bunch of crap. The big names of game development will probably not touch it once the hardware specs pass Nintendo by.

I guess I'm interested but very cautious. I heard about how the DS was going to innovate gaming, then how the Wii was going to be all about innovation, then how the 3DS was going to change gaming as we know it, and now more of the same. The closest shift for all of those was the DS, and even its features were used irregularly by third parties.

I'm more interested in the 3DS at this point, and that's solely due to games, as Nintendo's "Year After Launch" flood of good games seems to be coming out in the next half a year.

You know I'm reading forums and most people seem to think that the Wii U is just a new controller/peripheral for the existing Wii. Not a good job there Nintendo.

Can't understand what this guy is saying because he's saying his rehearsed lines at the same time that Shiggy is saying his rehearsed lines. ONE AT A TIME DAMMIT!

Dark Souls isn't PS3-exclusive.

That plus I believe the director mentioned that they had delays working on the online portion of the game due to PSN going boom.

God of War Origins trailer.

I'll have to get that and the Ueda collection one day, but likely not day one, but on sale later on. I mean it's getting to be a time issue, especially later in the year.

Also odd is that they didn't show this winter's Ratchet game at all (with the 4-player co-op).

[QUOTE="inoperativeRS"][QUOTE="S0lidSnake"]

Sony sells their remasters for $40 and includes 2-3 games in each remaster (Sly had 3 while GoW and Ico/Sotc have two games each). But since this has online and coop, it would be okay for them to charge $40.

Crazy if they are charging $60.

S0lidSnake

You're not part of the target group (or well, what I hope they consider the target group). There are thousands of people out there who would pay a lot more than $60 for just CE's multiplayer with Reach's net code, without any graphical updates. The singleplayer remaster is kind of an extra treat on the side, but few people care enough to pay $40/60 just for that. Which is why I'm concerned by the fact that the multiplayer is running completely in Reach's engine, while the single player actually emulates the old graphics and physics.

Wow I didnt know the multiplayer maps were built on Reach;s engine. That's awesome.

Wouldve loved to see the single player use the Reach engine but I guess something is better than nothing. Coop time it is argianas! You, me, Dez and his brother who hates me! let's do this!

Well if I recall correctly co-op is limited to 2.

But I still do need to finish Halo 3 on Legendary!
