According to a release schedule circulated this afternoon by Capcom's local distributor Activision, Lost Planet will be hitting store shelves in February 2008. We cannot give you an exact date, but with Turok expected on Feb 8th, and Devil May Cry 4 also due in Feb, it is already looking like a crowded month for action fans.

The latest PS3 firmware update added support for the rumble controller to the system, and recent updates to some games, such as Motorstorm, have added rumble support to individual game titles. Today documents surfaced showing the new DualShock 3 controller received approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Comission, a requirement for all wireless technology in North America.
Could the new Dualshock 3 hit stores earlier than expected?

GT5 Prologue has taken roughly 3 years and 320,000 man-hours to get this far, creator and producer of the Gran Turismo series, Kazunori Yamauchi has said. He said they have 120 people working on the game 40 of whom are car modelers. In the first Gran Turismo, one car model took an average of one day to create, where now it takes them 180 days to do one car. In GT4 they used 4000 to 5000 polygons to create a car, in GT5 the number rises to 200,000. Yamauchi's interest in cars started when he was around 4, but he didn't get his drivers license until the age of 24 because of the expense in Japan. He currently owns a Nissan 350Z, Honda S2000, Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, Porsche 996 GT3 and two Ford GTs.

From the blog: "Some reports are saying that the disc will contain "two video game demos (for "Devil May Cry 4? and "Resident Evil 5).? This is unfortunately incorrect: the disc actually has hi-def trailers for both of those games, not actual playable code."

Shacknews: "Much like Rudolph leading Santa's sleigh in the murky winter night, Haze, one of this year's few third party PlayStation 3-only titles, will light the way for Sony's console on December 14, reports Three Speech.
Telling the tale of a drug-enhanced commando facing a moral quandry, the first current-gen effort from TimeSplitters developer Free Radical was originally announced for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The other two versions disappeared from Ubisoft documents in May, and at the time, an Ubisoft rep declined to label the game an exclusive, chuckling, "We just felt that PS3 needed some love.""
