@Bread_or_Decide: I hear what you're saying, but I can only speak for myself. Exclusives are very important to me. If I've already got a console I like, exclusives are the only thing that will make me buy another console. Honestly, I am such a racing game fanatic that if Forza was multiplatform, I probably never would have gotten an Xbone at all. That one exclusive series alone made me buy an Xbone.
I think this is what we expected to hear. It's appreciably more powerful than the Pro, and most multiplat titles should take advantage of the extra power. Still, we all know MS could really use more good exclusives.
Looking forward to digging out some titles to see how much better they are on the X, (Quantam Break, ReCore and Gears4 being first on the list).
@Redsyrup: Zelda rocked. Arms and Splatoon 2 are also excellent, as well as FE: Warriors and Mario + Rabbids. The Switch has basically been shitting hits this year, it's not like Mario is the only "new" game on the Switch.
@nurnberg: I'm not sure that a 1st party title helps you make your point here. 1st party Nintendo franchises have always sold very well. 3rd party titles on Ninty consoles, not so much.
@Atzenkiller: Arms and Splatoon are both pretty fun games. Not the "handful of age old rehashes" as you put it.
And those age old rehashes are still better than most other games that dropped this year IMO, (the only non-Nintendo games that came close for me this year were HZD, Nier and Nioh, and I still think Mario and BoTW were better games).
