I have to go with either The Sims or WoW. There's just no real competition when it comes to those two franchises. Half Life 2 is the most iconic PC-game of this decade, if we're talking about nerds like us (posting in here). Overall though (all platforms), I'd say Halo- or GTA-series will be remembered a long time. Half Life 2 just isn't as known as any of the other two. I think... :?
If machines start to think for themselves one day, we're screwed. The logical thing is to get rid of human kind. When Agent Smith told Morpheus that we act as a virus, he wasn't too far off imo. And I totally agree on the EMP-bombs, lol. That's what rednecks of the next century will be buying like maniacs before Obama's grandson moves into the White House. (I'm so getting mod'ed right now...)
Can't say I liked the game as much as you did. Don't remember what score I gave it, but it could not be very high. My immediate reaction after the credits started to roll was "Wasted potential". But the game isn't bad.
Mass Effect, one of the best games I've ever played. If Bioware fixes all the annoying aspects of the game in the sequel, it'll def be on my top 3 list.
