[QUOTE="aryoshi"]Sonic & Knuckles is a toughie too, I agree, it's pretty long and there's no way of saving it, it would've almost been nice if they kept the save feature from Sonic 3 in there. But that just raises the challenge even more.Darkman2007thats one reason why Sonic Jam is great, it lets you save in Sonic 1/2/3/Knuckles That's true, I used to play Sonic Jam all the time when I was 7 and 8. It also let you do a spin-dash on Sonic The Hedgehog too! Well, if you had it on easy, I think.

Which of the four classic Sega Genesis Sonic games do you consider to be the hardest one? I personally think the first is my choice, it was a toughie, you didn't have any of the (though sometimes useless) assistance of Tails, there was no spin-dash, three stages each zone and a good handful of some fairly tough levels.
[QUOTE="savebattery"]The toploader is garbage anyway. No composite video output.Emerald_Warrior
And not compatible with the Game Genie.
I thought about getting one but first off, they're expensive everywhere I look (more than I'm even close to willing to pay), so I'm going to get my own front-loader for $15, one plus with it is that I can mess around with Super Mario Bros. 3 with the Game Genie! I can stay up all night doing that. I have! :p But I'll get the toploader once I've actually settled somewhere so that I can play some import games (Parodius and Ufouria, here I come). But yeah, it's a really good idea to have both rather than -just- a toploader, especially considering the fact that the TL only has RF. You -can- get modified (or do it yourself) consoles that feature A/V ports, but the cheaper route is really just to get a frontloader. Get a toploader later down the road, that way you have both.I'll admit, I love the older Nintendo games SO much more than the new Nintendo games, in fact, more than any games around this generation. But there are still some fun and even fantastic games Nintendo has to offer these days. Some people like the new Nintendo more, some don't. I'm not very fond of their policies back in the NES and SNES days though, they were quite anal back then whilist Sega and other companies out at the time were a bit, if not much more, lenient. Nintendo has definitely eased up since the N64 era, but I just still prefer and love the games they had on their first two consoles.
Metroid may be dated and there may be better games in the series, especially Super Metroid without a doubt, Metroid was still way ahead of its time and it's still a great game to play. Even for a game from 1986 it manages to pull off that atmospheric feel that Super Metroid had mastered later on, let alone the fact the game was huge, open and allowed you to go practically wherever you wanted. My only gripe with the game is the passwords, that's practically the only thing I don't like about it. But, that was later fixed in Zero Mission.Thank you for having metroid in the list. the first metroid seemed so underrated, I think its a bit dated now, and super metroid is much better, but it was such a good game.
