[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]Fallout, Baldur's Gate II: Shadow of Amn, Planescape: Torment or Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. And if you want a more transitional game that features less "RPG-like" combat, Mass Effect is yet another fantastic role-playing game.mo0ksi

:? Mass Effect would die in its computer, I can't get past 13 FPS at 800x500 on a 8500gt...

And as I said, the best RPGs to get into:

Fable, NWN, KOTOR (though I never liked Star Wars).

Ouch. I would've expected decent performance

It goes at 30 FPS on the first level, and 20 when you start fighting, but when the real game begins, in that city (I don't remember the name), it completely dies.

THIS!!!

The best game to get into WRPGS is the original Neverwinter Nights, it guides you and assists you in every aspect so you can't get lost, besides is one of the best RPGs ever, plus its expansions.

Fable isn't exactly an RPG, but IMO it's more RPG than Oblvion, Fable is one of my favorite games of all time, because of the atmosphere and the world, I really, really recommend it. But not as an intro to games like Fallout, BG, etc.

NielsNL

Forgot that one! NWN is a must. NWN 2 sucks though.

Not with the Mask of the Betrayer expansion ;)

Seriously, the expansion is brilliant unlike the original game...
