[QUOTE="Canvas_Of_Flesh"]Unfortunately, you're to young to remember, and probably haven't read anything about the topic, but the recession in the early '80s was actually a lot more to worry about. Also, history has shown, that during recessions the last prices to rise have always been those of forms of entertainment. Entertainment typically stays popular and around the same price because people use it as a form of escapism to kind of take a breather from reality for a bit.
I agree with the rest that you really needn't worry about paying more for games. And, if your family is as bad off as you're making them sound like they are, then I'd feel awful actually using money on games instead of helping buy groceries or something.

My family and I grow our own food believe me if we did not do those things I would not make this thread lol.
There is an difference between then and now they made sure price on electronics stayed low to get people to where they are now I.E. addicted to gadets everyone now can not live without gadets people lives are dictated by these things everyone must have a cell phone, computer, games, mp3 players, and on on when back then most people could go without this crap but they knew if the economy was in a slump and they made the escape for people cheap then it would become an addiction.

[QUOTE="atoria56"]Actually my fam and I have already planned we bought land and are building our house from scratch. What you need to be worried about is our government and their corrupt ways.Ontain
Add in the corporations that influence the government more than it's ppl and you'd be totally correct ;)
Exactly!! perfect statement man I am so tired of the corporations the run this country.
Disregarding the inherent silliness of this topic, why would the price of games take a significant jump? Prices are set at a level people are willing to spend. I don't see how a slumping economy would impact game prices. If anything, prices would fall as sellers try to unload their stock upon an increasingly budget-minded public.

They will go up because we get the majority of our games from companies overseas who will have to pay more to send their goods to us, along with our falling dollar they are going to want to see more money from us because when it gets put into their currency its not going to be worth anything. If this thread is silly then why say anything? Your statement was not needed and would have not been missed.
