This random girl in one of my classes(college) just added me on linkedin. I've never spoken to her but she looks in my general direction quite often. She messaged me saying that I'm better than her in that class. I got on linkedin like 2 years ago and have never really put anything on it so it was weird that anyone would add me.Maybe she wanted to get my attention without being a total creeper by adding me on facebook?

Laihendi, if I could prove that I could take your money and use it for more productive purposes, could I steal it(would I be justified in stealing it)? Also corporations are collectivist entities too according to your ideology. I guess they have no right to any of their properties?

It does not matter who came first. The native Americans were savages with no conception of property ownership. You cannot trespass on someone's property if that person has no property, and the native Americans did not possess property because they were intellectually incapable of possessing it. Private property is a right. It is the implementation of man's right to live. Man cannot possess a right to live if he does not also possess a right to the product of his effort to sustain his life. If a man cultivates a piece of land for his own productive purposes, and if that piece of land is not already owned by anyone else, then it is his property by right.

Native Americans had both private property and communal property. You need to read some history dude. I have no land property yet I am able to survive. Therefore landed property is not needed to surivive for all human beings. Native Americans survived too, anothter example. Native Americans cultivated land for different purposes, they also fish, and hunted. Are you not able to own land that you hunt on?

[QUOTE="ayaqoob1"]You guys don't have to attack him personally to dismiss his ridiculous philosophy. Objectivism is Egoism, meaning you as a person can do whatever you want as long as it makes you happy. If you can kill 20 people and steal all their money and get away with it that's fine.Laihendi
That is the most ignorant post I have read today. Objectivism does not in any way advocate murder. Murder is a violation of the victim's right to live.

Yet you're ok with Native American genocide? Also why is property a right according to objectivism? Property is excludeable and violates other people's rights to that same property?

Also Ayn Rand said that the genocide of Native Americans by the English and Americans was justified because the Native Americans were primitive. Do you agree?ayaqoob1

Yes I do. I am glad that the Europeans colonized America and civilized my Native American ancestors, because their culture was objectively inferior to that of the colonists.

And this is why Objectivism is a terrible philosophy. How can a culture be objectively inferior?

There was no genocide against the native Americans. Native Americans were relocated to reservations because they were trespassing on private property. Any native Americans killed were killed in self defense because they were raiding American towns. Many native American tribes joined the British in the War of 1812, so they were lucky that they were given reservations to live on after that.

LOL, private property is not a right. Sorry man, Ayn Rand lied to you. Why does one man have a right to exclude everyone else from a piece of the earth? Your conception of rights is arbitrary, culturally biased, and just plain wrong. Sorry. Also why weren't the Europeans trespassing? The Native Americans were there first. Why didn't the Native Americans have the right to relocate the Europeans?
