Im pretty sure a lot of it is just FMV.neovalkyr
Like what a few other people are saying UNCOMPRESSED Data for higher quality sound and whatnot. Don't equate large data to great game or long game play. And I'm not to sure, but haven't most MGS game used real-time graphics and very little FMV's if any at all.
[QUOTE="moshakirby"][QUOTE="hot114"]Uhm, stop watching YouTube game videos?
Well the characters look great, abundance of polygons there but the actual levelseverything looks lumpy and downright low res to me

Watch some HD stuff, gametrailers has the best supply usually.
Oh the irony......
Neither of those trailers were of high quality and the first one was off a low res cam shooting gameplay on a tv. The first one was also gameplay of the multiplayer version of mgs and multiplayer is usually of lower res than single i think. Its not the best, but its not "last gen" either. There will be a lot of small details going on within the game that people will love about mgs4 and the graphics will be good enough. But if your expecting something crysis like its not happenin. I doubt your gonna see anything like that this "gen" either, on any console, unless your on a high end pc. I don't think the ps3 or 360 is gonna get much more outta their graphics than what they currently have, although you will probably see better lighting/physics/and other little details improve within the consoles life time.
Yes, but not just PlayStation. Machine758
yeah, thats obvious. Just sayin' if he was talkin' 'bout those stores, he's not totally wrong in callin' it a playstation shop/store.
There is no 'PlayStation Shop'. If you're talking about the PlayStation Store, it's an online service and therefore noone knows who 'works there' other than Sony execs.
As for 'correct hardware', the 80GB model also doesn't hasve the right hardware; the 40GB doesn't have the software that's used to simulate PS2 hardware. To save disk space, the 40GB has none of this sort. It does, however, play all PS1 games for some reason.
